Beating Joyce, who's a giant heavyweight, also helps give his HW credentials a shot in the arm - and he's capable of it, he did it once in the amateurs. It's a good opportunity for Usyk to really cash in while letting the fight everyone wants to see happen. I hope it actually works out this way.
Exactly. If he beats Joyce he'll stil get his 'money fight'.

Because if he doesn't step aside they'll go ahead without him anyway. He will pocket step aside money AND keep himself in the belts picture anyway by winning this fight.

As an aide, it's a bit iffy how Usyk has only been on the hw scene for two minutes and he is at the front of the queue to get a shot. There are others more deserving by miles.

AJ/Fury can move ahead but it will just be without the WBO belt if they do. AJ has to fight AU or vacate and i don't see that happening. Plus, if your AU, and he takes the deal proposed by Hearn to where the winner of the AJ/Fury 1 drops the belt, then he just have to trust that will happen.

And we know how trust goes in boxing. AU is in the perfect position right now and has AJ by the balls. However, if I were AU, I would demand 10 million bucks or kiss off.
AJ/Fury can't happen until the mediation between Wilder/Fury 3 is straightened out.

Or they can strip Joshua prior. Have Usyk fight Joyce for the title (and title sanction fees) and still get an Undisputed fight when the dust settles.

The orgs can't really lose. The sport is rigged for them, by them. They decide when an undisputed fight happens - the boxers themselves don't have anywhere near that kind of control.

Usyk turned 34 years old yesterday. For that reason alone, he should not take step-aside money regardless of how much is offered. Two fights between Fury and Joshua before Usyk gets a shot at the winner? Usyk would be 35 closing in on 36 (if not 36) before he'd get his shot, and if he won, then he'd be 36 for sure for the rematch. Nothing doing.

I think as slow as Joyce is, he would still get to Uysk unless he's just been on a slow learning curve at heavy. Don't think it will go good for Usyk, Joyce is like molasses but he will eventually get him in my opinion

This is BS. I have no problem with AJ vs Fury for all the marbles, but NO immediate rematch. And Usyk vs JJ will be exactly like WSB, 119-109 for Usyk.

Isn’t Usyk still with matchroom ? If so, I can’t see frank getting this deal done unless enforced by the WBO
