Closer to prime than Mosley ,Cotto or Kovalev though.Oscar simply fought guys who were in form and weren't old, hadn't been stopped on numerous occasions and were matchups that for the most part were seen as super fights. Now tell me a list of great young champions Canelo fought.

I don't think so. Sure, Canelo is a big star but I don't even think he has Oscar's star power which was more cross over since he spoke English. Oscar also fought hard fight after hard fight. Canelo's fought so many fights where I did not expect him to lose. Those are easy money fights for him, make him look good and keep him in the public's eye but they do nothing for his legacy. Oscar was all about legacy even if he didn't realize it. Then again, I think the 90s and some of the early 2000s was the end of fighters really going after hard fights and didn't care who they faced.
