I'll check the monthly schedule later and give my opinion/vote.
and yeah dont doubt matias. Jukembayev only had a shot at an early KO catching him cold, but otherwise get grinded down.
Would never let a fighter face matias if he hasnt fought a lower level relentless pressure fighter before.
I had studied Jukembayev's footage, and for some reason I had seen flashes of a young Kostya Tszyu. Evidently, someone spiked my morning coffee...
Okay gents so there we have it, finally up to date going into June. Been an absolutely fantastic month of boxing, full of drama and upsets... here's hoping the rest of the year lives up to the standard set in May.
On the leaderboard we still got keithj and mlac clinging on to the top places, but the gap is closing and the pack is breathing down their necks now (including yours truly on a pretty good low key run)... looks like things are still gonna be completely up in the air at the halfway point of the year in another 4 weeks or so.
As for upcoming fights - well I think we're gonna have a little break this week, I'm on holiday anyway and the best boxing on offer is probably Chudinov vs Liebenberg from St Petersburg which ain't bad but ain't really an essential inclusion either to my mind... although as ever if anyone got particularly strong feelings, feel free to let me know.
Going forward I'd invite the CREW (@asgarth Mammoth and @NC Uppercut) to have a glance over the upcoming schedules from Boxrec and elsewhere over the coming week and try to come up with a schedule for the coming month if possible. Of course, as ever input from all players is always appreciated if you got any fights ypou particularly want to see in (or out).
All the best gents... think it's about Beer O'Clock for me....
Regards
K
June:
Dubois Vs Dinu - dont mind, comeback fight, second best opponent
Stevenson Vs Nakathila
Pedraza Vs Rodriguez
Ritson Vs Ponce
busy weekend:
Lopez Vs Kambosos
Charlo Vs Montiel
Cruz Vs Vargas
Leo Vs Alameda (good under the radar fight)
Munguia Vs Sulecki
Melikuziev Vs Rosado
Inoue Vs Dasmarinas
Lopez Vs Dogboe
Davis Vs Barrios
Lubin Vs Rosario
Lomachenko Vs Nakatani
Brant Vs Alimkhanuly
is there a single 50/50 fight there? all of those look like 1/50 1/100 mismatches.
the main events definitely not, but some of the undercard fights are fairly close.
Pedraza Vs Rodriguez (rodriguez actually opened as a favourite)
Leo Vs Alameda
Lopez Vs Dogboe
Lubin Vs Rosario
Brant Vs Alimkhanuly
are all fairly close.
Havent seen ritsons opponent yet, but Riston currently is priced 1.4 even with the hometown advantge.

I don't know a lick about Ponce (aside from his family name not travelling particularly well) but getting the nod over a ranked German in Germany suggests his unbeaten record ain't entirely smoke, whereas Ritson's... well, let's just say he didn't impress against Titere's ghost.
That said I'm torn - I'm just trying to make my mind up on this weeks Pick Em's and whilst Pedraza vs Rodriguez is a lock I'm split over whether to include the Stevenson fight or Ritson vs Ponce. Ain't much to go on in evaluating Nakathalia cept maybe the Chuprakov fight and whilst Evgeny's a solid, no-nonsense battler he's hardly a world beater himself.
Right now I'm leaning towards that one - Stevenson vs Low Key, cos I think it might be more of a fight than the bookies seem to have it - but I think we might get more diverse Picks on Ritson vs Ponce. You got any thoughts?
Be putting up the thread later on this eve, maybe 5 or 6 hours, and of course - as ever - any other players are free to chip in. wasn't really thinking about including all 3 fights since we got plenty on next week, but I guess that is also a potential option.

IMO I think you should go with the lock, then the Stevenson fight.
