No, when you hold all the hardware, a rematch clause is just smart business.

Lopez should Def fulfill his mandatory the. Look at what's best offer out there.

Or maybe just make the move up to 140 as WBO will make him mandatory there?

WBO may make Kambosos Mandatory when they realize the fight will be made with or without them. Arum has been complaining about losing money so I can see the logic in Australia for the gate fees. It makes sense.

That said, it's not a competitive fight. There are real fights at 135 but this isn't one of them.

Teo isn't moving up with Taylor and Regis lurking about. He has enough mandatory fights to keep him busy but none are going to be competitive.

He got his ass kicked all over the ring during the last 6 rounds and almost stopped (those are not my words - but Porter's and Ward's).

Fury gave Wilder the rematch, Wilder got stopped. The next more difficult fight for Fury is in fact AJ.

About the only thing that will be interesting in a Lopez / Kombosos match is Kombosos is an arrogant sht talker so the buildup would be fiery right up to the point where Lopez clocks and stops Kombosos and puts him where he belongs, back down at the bottom of the lightweight contenders list. No, the dude did not beat Selby and it's arguable if he even beat Mikey Bey. But Lopez should not go to Australia to fight. If somehow it goes to a decision, they could rob Lopez.

Kambosos is his IBF mandatory. Either fight him or lose the belt. MFs need to pay attention to the mandatories of each belt before they go around accusing dudes of ducking. Same folks would say that if he drops the IBF belt, he's ducking Kambosos. Smh.

Loma had shoulder surgery, maybe he does better, maybe not.

One thing is for sure, the rematch is a hell more competitive than anyone else that's available at 135lbs.
