He gets KOd again unless Covid has absolutely ravaged Povetkin...which is well and truly likely.

Povetkin is completely shot to bits but his fundamentals will always stay in tact. Whyte would have to literally try and get him out of there in the first two rounds like Hunter did...completely negating his danger and taking him out of his comfort zone. And, even then, Whyte is a KO waiting to happen. One of the worst chins in the upper end of the heavyweight division and its likely to be gone now. Whyte also lacks head movement so he's essentially a walking target. He's not big enough to use his reach and jab to negate having to keep his head off the centre.

Except for a bunch of people on NSB. Who will predict he'll lose and then give him no credit if he wins.
Why on EARTH would you give Whyte credit for beating a 41 year old fresh off of being hospitalized from Coronavirus who KOd him brutally the fight before??? In a rematch for a ****ing mandatory???

People are saying his chin is bad, it may very well be but that uppercut from Povetkin drops 99% of heavyweights out there

          Some might recover, many wouldn’t

          It was a perfect punch

Does he try to keep it long and potshot with the jab or bullrush Povetkin and make it a messy, ugly, dirty affair?

I think he needs to do one of the above because he can't stand at mid range and let Povetkin set up his crisp power shots.
Avoid the ropes and don't letbhim close the gap .

              I expect Whyte to win.

Probably safety first approach and boxes to a decision.

He was winning all the rounds until he got KOed. He needs to wins rounds again and be very careful on defense and he can win and very likely by KO but he cannot be careless at all.

Povetkin is a good fighter but he is neither a huge guy nor near his prime. Whyte can and should be able to win unless he gets clubbed by a similar shot as the last fight. I would say 55-45 in favor of Whyte because he is the younger and bigger man fighting in his backyard.

But that won't take Whyte anywhere because his real competition starts after this. I don't see him beating either of Joshua or Fury or even Wilder (for a consolation prize). Even Joyce or Dubois beat him. While he can beat Ortiz but that is not guaranteed either.

Well it was written right there in the post from me that you quoted. You can try to read it again, or I'll simplify it for you.

I wouldn't give him much credit. He should be good enough to beat Povetkin.

But if I thought he would lose the rematch, and he instead won, then I'd be prepared to acknowledge that he was better than I thought. Any other way is just fanboy stuff.
