G/Mung steals the show if that happens, which I doubt

not suprised...and yeah it will be entertaining....i mean....thats part of the sport/business....people making entertaining fights....but it clearly shows what golovkin is at this stage of his career...and tbh hes kind of always been this way when he dismissed lara and ward fights.....instead of trying to unify with andrade he wants to fight a guy whos style meshes with his and he feels he knows he can beat.....he doesnt want someone as athletic as andrade who can move around and in and out....that fight has been there for awhile and not once have they even expressed interest...its disappointing....but i also understand what golovkin is doing and hes not the first...hes at the end of it and i get that.....i just wish his fanbois would call it for what it is instead of dancing around the reality of it... i guess theres a few who are willing to call it what it is....but a bunch of them will still try to spin the blatant avoidance of andrade

double header on that weekend. The lil G vs Munguia fight is way more interesting than clenelo alvared's punching bag program.

Am I supposed to be impressed more with the fight because it’s on Cinco de Drinko?

On the surface, this appears to be true. There may be some business that plays into it, but as a GGG apologist, I'm happy to admit his career goals have shifted and he's no longer chasing the fights that we'd like to see him in. The fire in the belly doesn't burn at 38 like it does in your 20's.

Having said that...if we're learning anything lately it's that this new generation of talent is for real and they don't need to be protected from these big fights. I actually think this is a good fight, maybe not quite on the level of Andrade, but honestly not much below.

Munguia is not really on that high level. Golovkin is not as difficult a fight as Canelo but I don't think Jaime gets close to beating either.

What’s better than an old school slugfest involving GGG who claims to fight Mexican style and Munguia a legit Mexican that only knows how to fight coming forward? it’s a guaranteed barn burner. If Oscar puts this fight @ Staples Center on Cinco de Mayo weekend it’s would sell out within days especially if the Covid 19 vaccine has been vastly distributed by then.

these ******* like Charlos and Andrade who were hiding at 154 when GGG was a champ and who suddenly in 2 years has overgrown the MW division and are ready to fight at 168 should finally fight each other
