Is Ryan on that Canelo good-good stuff

The kid went from a gift decision against Morales two years ago, to KOing 4 similar-level guys almost immediately in those fights, and then he basically just walked through Campbell*, who had a really really good tough fight vs Loma.

People will say it's hating to mention it, but it seems too obvious. I don't really care, Ryan can be a huge star which is good for the sport really.

But I can't pretend to not see the incredible transformation. Seems a little suspect.

Come on man cut the BS.

I think most guys are on something. I'm honestly just wondering if some guys are on some other-worldly type stuff. Both Canelo and Ryan have raised their game LEVELS in a short time span, let's not kid ourselves.

I actually really like Canelo. Boxing needs stars. But he went from trying to survive 12 rounds vs GGG, to holding the ring vs him for 12 rounds, to walking down Jacobs, Kovalev and Callum Smith.

I don't put it past him. But I'm gonna play devils advocate since I think there's more argument for that than Canelo specifically.

He seems more accurate, maybe better technique, in better physical shape from conditioning to punching power, & almost ALL he throws IS power punches lol. Which could all just be attributed to being trained by Reynoso, which he wasn't before. So I don't think it's unrealistic to think he didn't naturally improve from that fight 2 years ago. It ain't like he been sleeping killers. He's always in shape too which means he's disciplined + he's a big Lightweight.

Fair points my friend. It could just be that the Reynosos are truly great great trainers as well. Perhaps a mix of both too - better training mixed with some good-good stuff. Even if Canelo is on some good stuff, it is hard to say he isn't an excellent fighter. Ryan seems to be following a similar trajectory to me.

Just feel like his transformation after that Morales fight is su****ious. Almost like after that fight, everyone on the team said, 'OK we need some 'help' here to get this kid to stardom.'

Boxing/MMA are about the only sports where I feel like they need to be careful about what they allow athletes to use. Can be dangerous ya know

100, you can kill someone. This is why the fans and media reaction to canelo failing TWICE was so immoral and de****able. They excused it because he's the face of the sport. But we all know it's BS, top athletes in the sport have know for years that meet in Mexico can be tainted. WADA/USADA all advised them not to eat it.

Yeah it's a sham in many ways. From Fury to Canelo to many others, the failed tests just don't seem to stick with them very long. Short memories for most of us.
