If boxing actually had real rules, 1 belt per division, 1 set of rankings, mandatory defenses, less weight classes, we wouldn't have any of these arguments. The sport has become a joke.

It's part of the game. Every cash cow Side A prize fighter does it. I would do it too and.. you would do it too. Stop lying to yourself. You know you would. The perks of being on Side A

Yea I know. I was just sharing it with you too. Those quotes always get a laugh from me with how shameless they are.

It ruins and unlegitimizes the sport. This whole A side B side thing. You should get more money, yes. But that's where it ends. No unfair advantages and other bull**** a world title fight has to be fair.

Floyd did it. Manny was worse. But Canelo took it to a whole new level.

I keep stating this isn't about Floyd being a evil cheater(hes not),this is merely about whether or not Floyd deserved full credit despite intentionally putting his opponent at a huge disadvantage (his & snrs own words)

Just as Canelo doesnt deserve much credit for Khan because he dragged him up & he was already a glass chin,or vs Jr whoms a bum & wasn't at his best, fighters sometimes hedge their bets like this situation & afterwards Floyd is eternally lauded for"schooling Canelo",thats the part that doesn't make sense because fans are acting like Canelo wouldnt have been stronger at 154 & as if he wasn't handicapped

Iow they make it seem that Floyd didn't drag him down to weaken him then still schooled him for the ages,in every Canelo video on YouTube you'll see countless fans saying how Canelo was dominated by Floyd as if its cut & dry when theres a bit more to it.(I'm not even arguing Canelo would've won, I'm arguing he wouldn't have gotten beat so badly)

It was Canelo's team that suggested the catch weight. It doesnt matter either way because Canelo wasnt beating Floyd
that night. This experienced version of Canelo tho...Floyd would never fight.

[QUOTE=kushking;20990854]Floyd for years claimed Pacs CW wins don't count (I agree that pacs win over DLH has an asterisk too btw)

And I'm not saying a fully hydrated Canelo wouldnt have a natural advantage either, but a 152 Canelo was at a huge disadvantage & fought like a zombie (not because of Floyds skill either) (Floyd wouldn't have had such an easy time otherwise thats a fact because its common sense)

Vs Canelo he forced Canelo down to 152 where he made clear he couldn't make without severely weakening himself,(what a coincidence he hadn't fought at that weight in years before he outgrew it),& then Floyd made several videos bragging about weightdraining Canelo so he wouldn't train & even said he had spies in his camp who informed him he was going to bed without eating.

He then taunted Canelo with steak & lobster & bragged about how he is the best because he chooses the "straight up & down come forward" fighters who have no chance"(his own words) "yeah I pick opponents I know I can beat so what thats why I'm Undefeated & making millions,if I faced who everyone wanted I likely wouldn't be Undefeated & would lose my status as moneymaker, thats why I'm the best because I pick my opponents whom I know I'll beat, not whom haters want me to lose to"(paraphrase I'll find the vid later)

He used to say he wanted his opponents at their beat unlike pac,he said"I faced DLH,Cotto, etc. at their weight unlike cw Pacquiao"(he wasn't lying.)

But then he despite fighting at 154 already & having belts at 154 he never defended,he forced Canelo to fight in a drained state & thats a fact.

So even though Mayweather would've been at a disadvantage by fighting Canelo at 154 thats the REAL canelo,& beating 152 Canelo shouldn't be rewarded the same credit.[/QUOTE let it go. He learned a lot from that. And learned on his next lost too. The one against Lara. He will avoid an slick, fast and defensive fighter. That's experience
