Hmmm...I seem to remember Top Rank making Beterbiev/Gvozdyk. Nothing to indicate that Ramirez suddenly wants to fight these guys just because he's not with Top Rank anymore.

Don't think he'd be there if he didn't want it. If you look at TR's track record they want fan pub more than anything. Gvozdyk hadn't grown a name in the US at that point but won a belt. More beneficial to TR to direct everything toward the name (Beterbiev) so that unification was made quicker than anything I'd seen in a long time. It's how TR works. I like Gvozdyk don't get me wrong but he wasn't on a promo platform in the states and was going to lose money for TR when more popular names came calling.

I'll eat crow if Ramirez ends up fighting someone legit but for now, I don't buy it.

Leaving Top Rank almost always represents the end of a fighter's relevance. There is not a single person on this board that thinks Zurdo will ever be in a big fight.

The silver lining? None of the fighters that Ramirez is calling out is a big enough name to be a diva or avoid fighting him for "financial" reasons. I see no reason why any of those fights should not be made. I just wonder what is taking so long for those guys to fight each other when you have this now random guy calling them out? Only time will tell.

Lol, like that one! Until he wins another major belt I should get good odds with Ramirez.
I believe and hope he will be fighting for one and soon. If not I'll be eating crow..

I thought TOP RANK was attempting to do this for Zurdo before he left them? Now Zurdo comes back wanting the same? Sounds like he is surrounding himself with the best! Good luck to him trying to make any of those fights with Top Rank. He might get Bivol since he is with Matchroom though.

I'm so tired of fighters talking a big game when their actions tell a completely different story. If Ramirez really wanted Beterbiev or Bivol he would've accepted the vacant WBO title fight vs Alvarez instead of sitting out for over 18 months
