If that was true you would have stayed with top rank. Bob was gonna gift you the vacant WBO175

      You ran.

You have to formally request it, but yes.

Is it just me, or is Light HW (which should be the actual Cruiserweight division, and the Cruiserweight the Light Heavy, but I digress on a pet peeve) traditionally a division where the best never seems to fight the best? A Bivol-Beterbiev fight would get entire countries excited and the true boxing fans would be all in, there is zero chatter about it happening.

My point is if Ramirez wants some of these top guys, he will get them as they and their teams do not see real interested in fighting each other.

            Beterbiev

Ramirez needs to be careful what he’s wishing for because Beterbiev it’s a monster more so than Bivol, in my opinion.

So Zurdo wasn’t going to get the treatment he got at 168?

Cruisers are the second largest warship in existence, which is where the name came from.

I think the sport is in really bad shape right now, and I've lost interest. It's so predictable, and the fights aren't even entertaining anymore. Just lots of posing and flick jabs. Everything looks like sparring now.
Yes, there are a lot of disappointments, like in any professional sport; often it's more business than entertainment (Mayweahter syndrome). Add the "no crowd" factor due to the pandemic, a few mismatches, freak accidents, ... It obviously hurts the sport. But there were a few good fights in 2020 nonetheless.

For me, no other sport gives me the butterflies in the stomach feeling, the feebleness, the heartaches.. The fights that have left a mark on me, I will remember for the rest of my life. No other form of entertainment does that for me. Except books maybe. (I know.. I'm weird that way)

Why don't you finish the year on a positive note and watch or rewatch Samir Ziani vs Alex Dilmaghani ! There is hope my friend!

Well... As a navy veteran I honestly never made that connection. I can deal with that.

Can we just rename light heavyweight then? Still seems dumb to skip a division between light and then heavyweight.
