Having a belt doesn’t mean you deserve a big fight.

I’m getting sick of seeing fighters demanding big fights when they haven’t beaten anyone.

Just cause you won a vacant title against Walter Katundowka or got a WBC title via email, that doesn’t automatically qualify you for a massive fight.

I’ve seen guys like Haney and Andrade along with their fans claiming they’re avoided. You can’t be avoided if you don’t fight anyone!!!!

Jermall Charlo for example got a gimme WBC belt but he went and defended against Derevyanchenko and now we’d love to see him face Canelo or GGG.

Teofimo Lopez went and iced Richard Commey which made us interested in seeing him fight Lomachenko.

I’m getting sick of seeing guys fight at C/D level then wanting to jump to elite level without proving themselves.

Had to get that off my chest... rant over.

There's something fundamentally wrong with this statement.

You also can't fight anyone if you are avoided though so it makes it a little hard for these guys to prove themselves to you.

Nah. Andrade could be chasing Derevyanchenko, Eubanks, etc etc. Plenty of fights to gain attention and have people talk him into big fights. Top fighter’s aren’t just gonna give a guy a pity fight, pick some skilled nobody who brings nothing to the table. You need to drum up interest.

Andrade should get Golovkin next though. Canelo is a bit much for how little he has accomplished.

You didn't think Charlo deserved a big fight before the Derevyanchenko fight?

Who told you any of these guys want to fight him? What's in it for them?

There are too many belts in boxing. But Andrade is ducked and I'll tell you why. He's had belts since 2013 and has been begging to get in the ring with all the top guys. They still wouldn't fight him. I've never seen anything like it. First Canelo and Lara wouldn't fight him at 154, then Canelo and GGG wouldn't fight him at 160. I've never seen anything like it in all my years watching boxing.

Eubank has expressed interest in fighting Andrade. So there’s that.

That's the problem with all of these belts. It dilutes the value of a title. A lot of fighters don't even care about titles anymore. That's why they'll dump them if they are forced into a fight they don't want. They know they can pick up another one along the way in no time.
