He needs to take the time to recover and then do the rematch with Nakatani once he's back. Maybe he can avenge the Lozada lost too

He can compete at the top level, but he can't win at the top level. Thats about right from what we've seen so far.

He might be an Orlando Salido or a Ray Boom Boom Mancini. Some fighters aren't meant to go undefeated. Some fighters have to lose quite a bit or one good time (or two), before they get it right. Verdejo has a lot to learn. Perhaps with the right trainer, he'll be a champion one day.

It doesn't matter how he looks in the beginning of fights, if he can't finish them because he severely gets gassed out then he can't compete.

Salido went on record with not wanting a rematch. He saw what Loma was doing during his Nomaschekno run and he said NOPE! If you are referring to Loma's response after that bogus verdict then you need to keep up with the news. Later on he said he would rematch and Salido declined.

                    He can compete.

But competing and winning are two different things.

Hes fun to watch he just isnt that guy. He will defeat some good level prospect and contenders but he will never rise above that imo. Anyone tough enough to outlast him will get to Verdejo late imo.
