Would be better for Golovkins legacy at 168 as Canelo is no.1 at 168

Either fight him now or fight him later. if he wants to keep his IBF belt he has to fight him at some point. Only a fanboy of a rival fighter would pretend not to understand this.
Guess we found another fanboy here. Getting it out of the way lol. What future fight is this fight you say it’s gonna interfere with? Another Steve Rolls Whatever you gotta say to make yourself feel better G-stringer

Ive seen it all now Charlo making demands against Canelo.

        Hilarious the sheer arrogance.

Don't pretend to be ignorant how the IBF works. When they decide you have to fight a manditory it's going to happen and they don't care what fight is lined up next. Secondly no real boxing fan should have an issue with a 38 year old fighter taking on a soft touch after a close grueling fight that IMO he lost.

Not to mention ggg fought Derveyenchenko in the fight before. Is he a low level opponent? Context matters ya dummy. And smith wasn’t the best at 168 and I don’t care what title he had. He deserved to lose to low level Ryder, which was why canelo picked him. Canelo didn’t utter his name till that fight happened. Smith loses to several guys at 168. He was another uk creation, which is why canelo loves feasting on their inferior fighters while avoiding the legit threats.
              1. Had GGG fought his last opponent 2 months after Derev that would be a different story.
              2. Canelo is facing Yildrim 2 months after he fought the consensus 168 champ. Everybody was claiming that Canelo would not fight the real champ at 168 when he beat fielding. Suddenly everyone is backtracking claiming Smith sucks...
              3. Context matters. When have you ever seen Canelo fight not on May or September? Fielding? Once in his entire career? This is just a get-it-out-of-the-way mandatory fight. Why else do you think Canelo is doing it in February? This way he can fight Yilly and rest up before training for his May fight.

              Get it?

I have no problem with him taking a soft touch after a grueling fight like the Derev fight. What I’m not cool with this is fans giving them a pass every time we fight a bum like Vanes or Rolls. Like you said, he’s 38 yo. Then in the hell is he wasting his time with nonsensical fights. Now back to my original post. All I was doing was pointing out the hypocrisy of that female jab jab boom.

so your context is to ignore the fact that there was a pandemic and ggg had no way of fighting shortly after his fight with Derveyenchenko. Big Fights just started happening again 2 months ago ya dunce. Canelo is gonna fight this mandatory ; the first mandatory he’s ever faced in his career after dropping or being stripped of 3 world titles over the past few years. Canelo is gonna fight this nobody, then he’s going to focus on another euro who’s looked bad recently in Saunders all the while ignoring the better challengers. He’s a master of minimizing risk so if you’re gonna shet on ggg but suck canelos balls, you look like a hypocrite because since 2017, there’s is much of a difference in their level of opposition.

Vanes was done on short notice because he needed a dance partner since Canelo was out of the picture. Rolls? Well that was with his new trainer but he could have found someone better. What I do know is when he gets in the ring he gives it his all.

Don’t get me wrong I criticize the guy because I think he’s an excellent fighter who should be facing better competition. I think he woulda beaten every other MW 2 years ago. I still think he gives them a tough fight and may beat some of them. Also the belt organizations need to set up a better way to determine who becomes the mandatory challenger. I do like the idea that the WBC presented. Mauricio Sulaiman suggested putting together a small tourney where all the mandatory challengers from every belt organization participate and the winner of that tournament become the mandatory challenger. Of course this is for someone holding multiple belts. This way the champ is not tied up with multiple mondo fights that just don’t make sense.
