Canelo is gonna fight this nobody, then he’s going to focus on another euro who’s looked bad recently in Saunders all the while ignoring the better challengers. He’s a master of minimizing risk so if you’re gonna shet on ggg but suck canelos balls, you look like a hypocrite because since 2017, there’s is much of a difference in their level of opposition.
When did I "shet" on GGG? Pandemic or not the fact still remains that of the last few years Canelo has had better opposition than what GGG has faced. When have you ever heard Canelo saying he wants to unify? This is the first time we actually get to see Canelo speak for himself and not be managed or told what to do with his career. Why do we praise other fighters for unifying or trying to unify but when it comes to Canelo people like you love to hate on him for doing so?

PRO TIP: Before you reply, calm down. Take a deep breathe. Smile or hug someone. Let go of that hate and malice in your heart and then respond to me. You sound like a bitter child or teenager who hates the world thinking you are owed something.

pro tip- keep your lame tips to yourself and don’t try to assess me or act like you know anything about me just because I call out canelos bs, and you just so happen to adore him. I’m just not gullible enough to fall for the nonsense and can see through his calculated risks.

Now go ahead and tell me the huge disparity in the opposition faced by Canelo and ggg since 2017. Spoiler alert, their resumes are very similar if you date back to the start of 2017.

You can think Canelo is some take on all challenges type of guy but again, he dropped his belt instead of facing ggg, he got stripped for not facing Derveyenchenko, he was gifted a fake wbc franchise belt because he wasn’t planning to face Charlo, he immediately dropped his 175 pound title after taking it from the weakest and most compromised champion in that division. He had 0 interest in the wbc belt at 168 until Benavidez was out of the picture. Only had interest in smith after he saw Ryder kick his ass. So spare me the nonsense about how we should all be praising him when he’s assessed risk, minimized it in several ways whether it’s by facing older fighters, lesser fighters, throwing in catch weights, rehydration clauses, giving his opponent short notice or.....using banned substances.

        1. I am not some Canelo fanboy and I have criticized him in the past and will probably do so in the future.
        2. You still did not respond to my comment and question from earlier.

When have you seen Canelo fight this soon after a high profile fight? When have you seen him fight NOT on tCinco De Mayo or Mexican independence day weekend? Rocky Fielding was in December and that was a throw away fight as well. That fight was to introduce him to DAZN and to generate subs. This fight will take place in February. Canelo has plenty of time to recover and train for the real fight in May.

I would love to hear your thoughts on that and how you spin it.

You can disagree all you want with the quality of both fighters but the general consensus by most experts and fans is that Canelos resume is far better than GGG's. What key names does GGG have on his resume aside from Canelo?

When did I say he was a take on all challengers type of guy? I said now that he is no longer being handled and managed by GBP let us see where he takes his career. Why not give it time to see what Canelo does now that he is in control.

What is wrong with unifying a division? Truly unifying and having all the belts not just 2.

Who do you wish Canelo fought to stop calling him a duck?

What was Kovalev's ranking at 175 before Canelo fought him? He was still a champ was he not? Do you know how many former champs fought the weakest in the division to win their belt?

I get it, you hate Canelo's success. You do not have to like the guy. I do not see why you are so keen on talking bad about him. Do you see me going on boards talking bad about any fighter or person? What is the point? If you do not like Canelo then so be it. What do you get out of crying like a child and showing all of us that you hate him?

I say what it is, and canelo fans get sensitive because you guys want all of the praise without any of the justified criticism.

As far as your dates, Canelo was handed over the Mexican holidays from Floyd starting in 2016, he fought in May and sept of 2016, and May and September of 2017. In 2018 he didn’t fight in May because he got caught cheating. He fought that September (in a high profile fight he ggg), then had a quick turnaround 3 months later against fielding, fought Jacobs in May of 2019, chose not to fight in sept because he was too much of a diva to fight ggg and declined Andrade and opted for old Kovalev giving the washed up Kovalev 10 weeks in between fights. He didn’t fight this past May and if you take his word for it, he never bothered to sign the contract for Saunders even pre pandemic. He also passed on fighting this past September due to more diva like behavior. So since getting the Mexican dates , he’s fought on 6 of the dates and never signed to fight on 3 of them. What’s your point ? And you never answered my question to explain the big disparity in completion faced between Canelo and ggg since 2017. And I don’t hate canelos success , I just see through his his minimizing or risks and what I do dislike is his cult like fan base who hate to hear the truth.

I still think he gives them a tough fight and may beat some of them. Also the belt organizations need to set up a better way to determine who becomes the mandatory challenger. I do like the idea that the WBC presented. Mauricio Sulaiman suggested putting together a small tourney where all the mandatory challengers from every belt organization participate and the winner of that tournament become the mandatory challenger. Of course this is for someone holding multiple belts. This way the champ is not tied up with multiple mondo fights that just don’t make sense.
A tournament would be OK. It's getting a little crazy with all the amount of mandatory fights.

My point was that he fights on those dates. Not that he fights every time on those dates. Get the difference? It is a well known fact that Canelo fights on those dates. Him fighting Yildrim is not a big deal if it is outside of those dates because the high profile fights fall under the two dates we are referring to.

Like I said before. Why not let time go by and see what happens with his career now that he does not have GBP pulling the strings?

I find it interesting that you claim he was being a diva when he did not fight on one of those dates yet fail to explain just why he was a diva. DAZN was not approving of any of his opponents which is why he missed the September date when he fought Kovalev.

Kovalev is a grown man, he signed a contract. If you are going to make the excuse that Kovalev lost because he was given a short turn around then you have to use that same ideology and say that Canelo only lost to Mayweather because of the catch weight.

Canelo has publicly stated that he wants to unify at 168. BJS has a belt at 168. You claim that Canelo is afraid of BJS and does not want to fight him. Well now that Canelo has made that statement let us see what happens this year. If this year goes by and they do not fight then one of them is a liar and if it is Canelo then you can go ahead and rain down the hate on him all you want.

P.S. you failed to mention the other 4 fights he had on those dates AFTER fighting Mayweather...
