Golovkin doesn’t have much time left in his career. Canelo will most likely be his last elite level opponent and his last chance to cash out before retiring.

While ggg doesn’t have a big signature win on paper and that’d help his legacy, canelo would benefit as well. Canelo may not want to admit it but many people will always say he never truly beat ggg if their rivalry ends here.
Well things will play a lot different now that Canelo is a free agent, everyone has a number though so I’m sure if they meet the number and it’s at 68 it will happen.. regardless of what ggg wants or says. But we shall see

That Butcher Scumbag and his Cheat prodigy have always fought at 168lbs and much heavier on fight night! Besides, their created 155lbs weight class says everything about who has been asking for favors his whole career!

Not a good matchup. Canelo would dominate and be called a Cherry picker by his haters. I say no GGG and only fight champs at 168 then maybe 175.

If he fights anyone at 160 it should be Charlo. Still young but much less talented than GGG. But can't wait for Canelo to shut up all the Charlo sisters fanboys

Why do u Think Canelo fights comfortably at 168-175? He’s not hurting his body to make weight. You’re basically not hindered the effects of general weighin dehydration
Not every fighter performs better when fighting at higher weight classes even if they cut less weight, I know what you talking about but you can't assume things without proof.

Canelo has looked marvels at 168, GGG has never fought at 168.

Yes but GGG’s own team and Abel acknowledged up to 175. I spar all the time. Sometimes at random you spar people bigger than you. In the pros, weight differences is natural practice. GGG was known to easily spar Cruiserweights. Off season, camps, the level of training at the elite level isn’t far off from a pro fight. All is calibrated and managed to benefit the fighter to perform better.

GGG was managed to make money for himself and the people who pimped himself. He just wasn’t fortunate to dare better things. Maybe he just wasn’t meant to be that type. Fine. Other boxers play that part. To say 154-168 is easy and not show up is suspect character.

A catchweight and a rehydration clause aren't the same thing. If they fight we will see how that plays out. Anyway Charlo said right after the Smith fight he would go to 168 to fight Canelo.

Past tense......plus Yilly is a mandatory taking place 2 months after he just fought the consensus best at 168. Context matters. Try learning how to read.
