Because Saunders is holding his ticket to a Canelo fight. He won't fight anybody of any type of risk before a unification is made.

I hear that talk... but Saunders was in line last time, yet he had no problem signing to fight Golovkin in Kazakhstan

so, where does that talk come from?

That’d be a great fight too but you’re kidding yourself if ya think Canelo is scared of a guy with like 3 quality wins that has also consistently fought below his natural weight class. Coming up should be no problem for Charlo as he could easily fight at light heavyweight. However, considering his thunderous KO power has seemed to disappear already at middleweight, he may be too timid to move up. Charlo takes as many heavy shots from Canelo as he did Derevyanchenko and it’ll be a long night for him. Canelo is much athletic, skilled, and experienced in big fights than Chenko. Canelo would go to town on Charlo’s body

Charlo was 154 and moved to 160. I think he could fight Canelo 168 and would hold his own or maybe stop Canelo. If u noticed, Canelo only fights slower guys from other countries that he knows he can win. Charlo vs Canelo is a 50/50 fight.

Not long ago they had said that Canelo-GGG III would have to take place at 160.

This team really lacks integrity in so many ways.
