Just jokes. The sister in Gladiator was actually very attractive. Not really relevant here but just wanted my thoughts on that subject out there.

Yeah just little stuff like that. Like when we evaluate guys we should consider that stuff.

I want everyone on here to ask ShoulderRoll whether he has ever sent another man a ***** as a gift. And if he says no, he is lying.

I proudly post it on my wall, as evidence of the magnanimity of my subjects. They love me so much, they can't help but shower me with gifts.

You know you have one on your wall, right?

I like him, too but I agree. He plays up the A-side Diva bu ll sh it and it's nauseating. Leonard did it with Hagler. Mayweather did it with everybody. I mean, if you're the best, you shouldn't have to be a b i t c h about concessions and having every advantage outside the ring. Duran, Toney, Hearns and most of the greats didn't have to have all this bs.

Yep well said. It is a rare fighter who can be the A-side, but also just fight people on pretty fair terms.

I actually have respect for McGregor for that. Not really a fan of the guy at all. He has no stamina and isn't professional enough for me to really respect.

Really talented though and at least he seems to fight guys straight up, and takes on all comers.

At least until the Cerrone fight. That was a bit soft but a few of those are fine.

Just trying to help ya out man. I don't feel like going through the trouble to erase it from my wall.

But that little white beaker on your wall is a gift from someone, maybe ShoulderRoll. He seems to hand them out often.

The exact date that the legal issue with DAZN-Golden Boy would be settled was completely out of Canelo's control.

As soon as he was free to move he jumped on the earliest opportunity he could to get a fight.

Even Ward, who I felt was a clear 'halfway crook' who talked out of both sides of his mouth, and rarely got called on it - he is a tough smart fighter, and seems like a pretty good family man too.

My critiques of Canelo are never really emotional. To me they come about because imo I'm pretty objective about the sport/boxers on here. I see some stuff going on and you wonder why it isn't more of a mainstream view or pretty much widely accepted.

I just think it's funny how some people on here never even entertain the situation with him - that as the super A side, he can really make whatever fight he wants, on whatever terms he wants even, sometimes. And will not have to excel in the fight/rounds to get the W on the cards as well. Knowing all he really has to do is be competitive for 12 rounds and he gets the W.

That will naturally lead to a lot of fights vs solid names, yet the name is not really in great form. And fights where Canelo just has to play it safe and not get dominated and he will get the W.

Basically when you are the Super A side, you can be more selective with who you fight. And make sure the cards are always stacked in your favor. And that's even before going to the judges.

I give him a lot of credit for facing GGG twice though, and even Jacobs. Seems like all of those fights were pretty much straight up fights. I think he was 1-2 in those fights, but still, he showed he was quality in all 3.

                      ----

Let me put it this way, A LOT of guys would have wanted to face Callum Smith after the Ryder fight, especially if Callum had a short camp, and if you know that you are going to win if it is at all close and it goes to the cards.
I completely understand you and get that. My post wasn’t a bash on you for starting the thread. We also need to acknowledge the PED issue regarding Canelo. It is suspect and su****ious. Especially with it happening in-between the GGG fights.

I just know that in a thread like this, and in most threads on NSB, it eventually evolves into posters just bashing HOF or even ATG boxers and I just felt like I needed to say something about that.
