Andrade almost lost to Vanes, who old GGG knocked out in 2 rounds. Andrade is a poor man's Lara.
Charlo definitely lost to an old Korobov.
Plant is a top 5, but B level guy in the worst division in boxing, 168. I don't think Canelo knocks him out but Plant will prob take a beating to make it to the 12. I mean, Uzcatagui almost knocked him out late, lol.
Let's not even bring up BJS, he's rarely in shape, totally unreliable and inconsistent, and even his best, which odds are won't show up vs Canelo, is the same level as Andrade basically. Callum Smith would probably beat BJS lol!
Benavidez has awful defense and head movement, he's basically just big that's it, he's a Mexican Callum Smith with less power and less fundamentals and technique.
Zurdo Ramirez is terrible.
Beterbiev is very good, definitely on that Sergey Kovalev level, in fact they were compared their entire careers, so we already know from the Kovalev fight that Beterbiev has very little chance vs Canelo. About the same age too. Yes Kovalev had more miles on the clock, which you can argue explains why he got knocked out late, but his offense was still the same late vs Yarde even when he was hurt, but vs Canelo his power had no effect on Canelo even from the first round, and Kovalev hits just as hard as Beterbiev. These guys might have elite light heavyweight power, but they dont have elite Franchise Caneloweight power, not even at light heavyweight. When they fight Canelo, they all may as well be Rod Salka. Canelo doesn't even seem to notice when guys hit him.
Dmitry Bivol has so little fanbase, Eddie Hearn doesn't even bring him up anymore. Some unknown guy is not going to be beat the biggest star in boxing, lol, let's be real. He has all the tools but come on, this is the real world.
Who else is there? Spence is having competitive fights vs B+ guys at 147, Canelo just beat up the "Ring Champion" at 168. That matchup would be a joke, just for the $$$ in Dallas or whatever. Zero interest in that mismatch.
It's not Canelo's fault, but he's just fighting in one of the weakest eras, weakest talent pools from 147 to 168, in the history of the sport, so there aren't any challenges out there for him. As someone who relishes challenges and legacy, he may look back with regret on not fighting GGG earlier when it would have meant more. That was his big chance to really take on a top legacy opponent. Now there's so little out there for him, really no meaningful matchups at all. I know promoters and media will try to hype up Beterbiev, Benavidez, Zurdo, Charlo, Plant, and so on, but to me that's all it is, hype. None of these fights are interesting.

It's a competition of bad vs worse. Let's stop trying to point to the "worse" to try to make the "bad" look "good." Bad is still bad. It's just not as bad as "worse."
