Purse bid % is part of the rules of the mandatory, so if that's the reason he dropped the belt, that would qualify as dropping the belt to avoid or not honor the mandatory. Plus he knew the rules before he made the deal with GGG to get one step aside fight vs Cotto before fighting GGG, yet then he delayed again.

Bottom line, Canelo vs Yilidrim should not be sanctioned. Mismatch. And Canelo is a fraud if he lets the WBC dictate to him with mismatches but not for legacy fights like prime GGG.

If there were bidders to fight Yildirim before the Smith fight, it could’ve just boiled down to Canelo and Hearn following thru with the mando. Hearn and Canelo would like this. It brings everyone money including Haymon. Haymon will play the part because he has fighters to match against Canelo and hope for another AJ Ruiz scenario

You're being such a fanager, IMO. You should make a donation to Matchroom and DAZN and PBC. You're free to do that, and it wouldn't surprise me if you actually did, but my point is the matchup is a mismatch and it shouldnt happen let alone be sanctioned.
