Back then there were real boxing fans. Fans who appreciated the way you fought not just whether they could get behind you and brag. People try and blame Mayweather when all Mayweather did is play a certain sector of fans against themselves. Made them wanna see him lose to the tune of millions. Now that same sector uses herd mentality to rally behind the next great undefeated guy who will show the world boxing is not about the fighters and their welfare and future, but only about the fans and what they want because these uneducated lumps aren’t supposed to get generational wealth (while keeping their health) just because they are athletic and can fight.

You said one marvelous thing that really stands out....the fact that the true boxing fan is disappearing. What you have now is ethnic/racial/nationalist fans who only care about flags, national origin, or race pride. Argue who you think the A side or B side is or if it should be 50-50, whether it’s fair etc all you want. Unless Crawford leaves top rank he has literally no negotiating power literally 0. Spence has options for big ppv fights , Crawford has none it’s that simple. At the end of the day how bad does Crawford want a big fight. Everything else is semantics. Just something to note, Terrence is going to be 34 in September and Spence is going to be 31 in march.

Just like Canelo aged out GGG delaying the fight, because father time beats all, I am sure spence’s management knows that father time is on his side.

Spence has the leverage of time and the longer it takes this fight to be made, the more advantage Spence gains.

Imagine this fight takes a year or 2 to make after march 2021, bud will be 35/36 years old. And spence will be 32/33.
