It was a guarantee. In addition, to the monies he would have made off the back end through the percentages of all revenue streams: Such as the live gate, closed circuit, online streaming and all pay per views sold on television.
If he would have done Mayweather numbers he could have more than tripled the amount of the $25 Mil guarantee per fight he was being offered by the PBC.
They will eventually iron out a deal soon though. They are very close. Canelo just wants a fight by fight based contract without any long term exclusive deals. He wants to remain free.Comment

Canelo on regular FOX would have been interesting. Not sure how they would have been able to pay him 20M or so, but the ratings would have been absurd.Comment
