So the first two fights would have been against Plant/Charlo. Good for Canelo for not wanting to sign a three fight deal and he wouldn't have been able to fight in 2020 with the PBC as they couldn't put on a PPV on December 19.

And no need for a catchweight fight against Charlo. Just make it at 168. Canelo dictates if he wants a catchweight or not against Charlo, not the other way around.

But I'm sure this offer or a similar offer will be on the table in 2021. Canelo has a lot of options.
    Not a terrible deal

No, this offer was not a flat-fee from Haymon.

It was a guarantee. In addition, to the monies he would have made off the back end through the percentages of all revenue streams: Such as the live gate, closed circuit, online streaming and all pay per views sold on television.

If he would have done Mayweather numbers he could have more than tripled the amount of the $25 Mil guarantee per fight he was being offered by the PBC.

They will eventually iron out a deal soon though. They are very close. Canelo just wants a fight by fight based contract without any long term exclusive deals. He wants to remain free.

Exactly, and Looks like right now Hearn/Dazn is paying up the money that Canelo is looking for.

Canelo is A-side. Hymen and PBC are ****** if they think they can dictate any terms.

The star fighter was pursued by Al Haymon and offered a two-fight deal that, per sources, would have landed Canelo on free FOX in December with the likes of Chris Eubank Jr. and Anthony Dirrell floated as potential opponents before a May showdown with Plant on FOX pay-per-view.
The biggest star in boxing has plenty of options going forward after dominating Callum Smith last week. Here's what lies ahead.

Canelo on regular FOX would have been interesting. Not sure how they would have been able to pay him 20M or so, but the ratings would have been absurd.

You can hate Bob Arum, but he atleast ensures 4-5 million bucks per fight to Crawford

                - -Arum nurtured Oscar and Floydy among recent stars and now Bud to that tipping point.

DKing, Oscar, and Uncle Al do a poor job in that regard.
