          1. Kazakhstan is in Asian
          2. GGG won the first fight

I cannot believe people saw Smith as a threat. Canelo did his thing. Cong**** to him. But he did not fight anyone notable. Yes Smith is a champion. But who's at 168? Caleb Plant? BJS? I mean these guys are pillow fisted.

But this isn't Canelo's fault. No one's at his level because no one notable is around in his weight class.

Smith fought like shit. He has at least a six inch height advantage and over a seven inch reach advantage, that he squandered. He is known to fight short instead of tall and that's why Alvarez fought him. That and the fact that Smith has the power of a girl scout. Smith was actually bothering Canelo with his long jabs very early in the fight, but he eventually started fighting as if he's a short guy. You can't fight a short guy inside like that when you're tall and long, he'll eat you alive. Smith and his corner should have known better.

I'm surprised Callum made it to the last bell. I was telling everybody how Canelo was going to stretch him out, long as he is tall. Not even close.

Hearn has that Don King 'I came with the champ, I left with the champ' mentality. I hope Canelo never signs any kind of deal with this guy, Fury was smart not to.

Lot of truth to how Canelo has developed and his skills sure that is professional boxing. It is also true that to do that you have to hope to be matched with those that allow you to achieve that step Canelo is in a position and has been to throw out 6-8 names say this one that one till no one is sure, then bam when he makes sure he can work the match making process to his full advantage he calls out for the contract to be sent out. Big money, chance at exposure a offer no one can refuse ? Is that dirty pool ? He is one of those that can do that most fighters can not. And he has developed the skill of doing it and if someone say Plant refuses he is called a "Duck" but no one says Canelo is ducking those other seven guys bc he mentioned there names at some point. The fight was lousy who would want to watch that fight again due to its greatness? Nope. That says a lot about that Smith - Canelo fight and several of his others. And then some debate is it Canelo who out skilled them ? Or was the guy he fought not all that much. Meanwhile Canelo starts the process all over again. I enjoy a good fight not what was on display in the Smith fight. Rather see two guys who are not as polished or in the same skill level yet. Just a thought.

The Los Angeles Times just wrote a wonderful piece on how Canelo missed an opportunity for greatness by skipping out on a GGG 3rd fight....but here's the part of the article that I've been screaming to the heavens for so long....

"Canelo Alvarez walked down and whacked around a defenseless man for 12 rounds on Saturday night, each thudding blow he landed destroying the delusions of Callum Smith that were manufactured by a British sports scene that overrates its soccer players and really, really overrates its fighters."

And my heart was just overjoyed to know that there's other rational thinkers in and around the sport of boxing that don't buy into the nonsensical British propaganda that seems to be a new disease in this great sport.
