Go back to watching WWE or something because boxing is clearly not for you. Professionals keep themselves in boxing shape year round. Smith himself even stated he has remained in the gym fight ready throughout the pandemic. That’s what TRUE professionals do.

It’s like you believe that Canelo is the only boxer in the entire world that is 4 weeks ready at all times. Do you know how completely ****** you sound with your ridiculous comment? Do you not understand that camps are structured around having your performance peak the time of the fight, that are different ways you cut weight, what you focus on, etc.

Not that it would have mattered for him, he was a weak champion that should have lost his last fight in a weak division.

But go on thinking this win was exciting, and quality if you want to. The guy showed up to get paid, and thats it. Its just reality.

Not that it would have mattered for him, he was a weak champion that should have lost his last fight in a weak division.

So Canelo must therefore be a super human alien. He must be able to transwarp dimensions of time and space making that four weeks actually 6-8 so that he peaks too! He didn’t just beat a world champion he dominated him. I think folks have a hard time grasping just how elite Canelo is. He dominated a world champion.

If fighters aren’t as dedicated as Canelo in the gym in their off time that’s on them. Canelo doesn’t sit around like a lazy ass, pack on 30 pounds then have to spend 4-6 months losing weight before he can then focus on skills. Don’t diminish someone’s greatness just because they work harder year round to remain fight ready. Canelo hasn’t fought for OVER A YEAR. It shows how much he remained in the gym over that time. ANY boxer that shows no rust after having not fought over a year shows how dedicated he is to his craft. But to you that’s just cherry picking.

Yea these guys give Canelo a bit too much respect. They are too scared to even jab now. This is why I want that third GGG fight. Regardless of how you thought the first 2 went it seems Golovkin is the only one to just fight the man and not his reputation. Callum turned into an overly cautious mess. No one even tries to back Canelo up. Everyone backs away and just allows him to set his feet and throw at them on the ropes. I'm a fan of Saul's but man these fights aren't exciting anymore..

Yeah at least GGG would put up more of a test than those guys. He can jab and shift and hold the ring.

I don’t give guys too much flack for that cuz Canelo clearly has really good pop on his punch. His shots are super sharp and he hits hard. Even if he doesn’t get the KO all the time or as much as other guys, he’s damaging guys. There’s a reason why opponents give Canelo tons of respect.

It takes someone with a world class chin to step to Canelo and really trade with him. Smith did it in spots and had some success. To do it and trade with him the whole fight, the only guy I’ve seen do it is GGG to tell you the truth. Most guys don’t want to engage a guy like Canelo.

And now at this point of GGG’s career I don’t think he could go the full 12 with Canelo. He might be able to, but it might play out very similar to the match we just saw.

So Canelo didn’t spend months in a fight with his promoter and DAZN trying to land a fight with anyone? How the phuck could he had ever known who he would be fighting “for months” as you say? During that span he had picked BJS, Plant x2, Smith was turned down as a fight for Canelo by DAZN during that time as well due to money disagreements and others were discussed as well. There was no guarantee who the hell he was going to fight and whether he was able to get out of his contract.

Try a different line of reasoning now.

Huh? So he must have been peaking clear back to February when BJS was mentioned. Peaking again in March when Plant was mentioned. Peaking again in April when Smith was mentioned. Peaking again in October when Plant was mentioned again. He ALWAYS is expecting a fight. Just face it he works harder than any boxer out there, remains in the gym fight ready to face anyone. Never would have heard? WTF are you taking about? Both fighter said they’ve remained in the gym throughout the pandemic. How is this so hard to understand?
