Yet when you say Sugar Ray, you mean him in his prime, not when he was shot and taking Ls. Either one; Leonard or Robinson.

Maidana against Floyd @140, against the one who trashed Gatti, would have beat Maidana down.
SRL had a career cut short by recurring detached retina problems. We don't really have a gauge of how he would have done older. His come back fights were against the real top dogs in their prime, after like 6 year layoffs.

Like Terry Norris. I don't care who you are... you have no business getting in with a prime Terry Norris coming off a layoff of that length.

    Terry Norris was a monster.

Tommy Hearns was ahead in that first fight and Ray probably needed to knock him out or three straight 10-8 rounds to win and he dug deep and stopped Tommy in the 14th.

I think some forget how great Ray Leonard was. The guy wasn’t just insanely skilled, Ray was a physical beast and had heart; so much heart.

Floyd went razor thin with a past prime Oscar. What do you think a Prime SRL would have done?

Floyd almost had his world ruined by a very past prime Shane Mosley. What would Floyd have done with Prime SRL in front of him that night?

Floyd had a difficult fight with Cotto, What would SRL or Roberto Duran have done to him that night?

People act like Floyd never had an off night, and that all of his performances were dazzling. They weren't. Every time he stepped in with someone that would have been a legitimate challenge to him when they were relevant, he had some difficulty.

Now we are talking about him vs someone who was better than all of those guys.

A 135lb Mosley would have been more than Floyd could handle. Floyd has had problems with everyone with exceptional hand speed he has been in with. 4 round Zab Judah gave him all he could handle for 4 rounds, knocking him down in the process. Mosley hand speed even got to Floyd when he was well past it. 135lb Mosley is up there in contention for fastest hands of all time, along with Meldrick Taylor and Hector Camacho.

Floyd was smart enough to only take fights when they were winnable for him.
Ray would’ve crushed Zab Judah and knocked him out within three rounds.

Duran would KO Zab Judah and then beat up everyone in Zab Judah corner when they started talking ****.

Ray or Duran would walk through Mosely and Cotto on any given night. Camacho and Benitez walk through those guys as well. Heck Benitez probably beats Floyd as WW.

Mayweather was more technical but Leonard has better resume. He took on everyone in their primes. Not a knock on Mayweather but just facts.

Floyd is more skilled as a boxer. Leonard had more speed and he was bigger though.

Who else did Floyd beat @ 140 a prime Chop Chop Corley? Did he even stop Corley?

Even the 30+ year old Sugar Ray who did Hearns 2, Duran 3 and Lalonde would cut down a paper champ like Maidana pick a weight.
So, Sugar Ray that was taking KO losses is going to be Maidana?

Floyd at 140, at that age, would destroy Maidana and it wouldn't even be close.

Maidana has power sure but he has absolutely no answer for a fighter with that power, speed, and footwork.

                      Exactly.

So it's two different situations. Leonard with age and injury would likely get beat.

Leonard in his prime puts Maidana away easily.

That's why I don't get why that guy acts like Floyd @ ~36 winning a UD against Maidana is garbage.

Floyd @ 140 who knocked off Gatti, even the one who fought Judah would beat Maidana more impressively than the 36 year old who took prime Maidana for a boxing ride.
