Maidana has power sure but he has absolutely no answer for a fighter with that power, speed, and footwork.
Did I say the Srl that was taking ko losses no I said the guy who rematched Hearns and Duran, and who ko'd Lalonde. He went up to 168, came back down to 154 to fight a prime Terry Norris, an absolute beast at that time. Those are the types of risks that separates him from Floyd and any pretender you care to mention.

Floyd at 140, couldn't even ko or destroy a prime Chop Chop Corley. A c class fighter at best. I doubt if he ko's Madonna. Gatti (rip) was far too shopworn to do anything with a prime Floyd.

      So you change the parameters?

Floyd at 147 @ the time of fighting Maidana is essentially that SRL who came back to fight Norris.

The difference? Floyd has more skill than SRL and beat Maidana both times.

Whether you want to cry about a decision or not. He even rematched him, at an older age, and STILL beat him and more convincingly.

Floyd at 140 would down Maidana. Even if Maidana didn't get knocked out. Maidana is getting his ass beat. His slow plodding puncher style is nothing for that version of Floyd who's footwork, hand speed, reflexes, and power were all at an elite level. Inarguable.

Maidana wouldn't just get some pretty looking pull-counter done on him. He'd be getting cracked and swinging at air afterwards.
