That's fine. That's what we're talking about - where they didn't go on to great things.

It's not about losing and it's not about "he won belts" - Broner is a FOUR DIVISION CHAMPION. By that metric he's more a HOF lock than Crawford, but you and I both know that it doesn't matter how many divisions you were in if you fought scrubs in each one of them.

You need to look past "well they accomplished _____" - we're talking about what they COULD HAVE if they didn't make those bad decisions and/or get injured along the way.

      Criteria is this:
      • These guys are being measured against the rise of guys like Mke Tyson, who unified against tough opposition, NOT vacant belts
      • Cannot hold steroids or other things against the fighter. We're talking about what they did (or didn't do) IN the ring
      • It doesn't matter what they accomplished in the past if they later failed to continue the momentum
      • We're not talking about record, we're talking about RESUME
I saw this lightweight...Kid looked like a pint size Joe Louis... had power to spare... Thought to myself "this kid is going places!" That kid was Juan Ma.

Floyd mayweather jr. I was a fan of him below 147 lbs but i was veey disappointed when he go up to 147 and started cherry picking and duck every threat opponent available.

Gamboa, he could have been great, still was good for a while, but he turned down a Brandon Rios fight (he was undefeated), this fight would have been a showcase type of fight, good action and he would have stopped the game but not on his level Rios.
He ducked that fight then signed with fiddy (a rapper what a joke) and flushed his possible HOF career away.
Gamboa would have been a 126 champ for a long time, had he stayed with top rank.

Wtf man you write on my wall but I can't send you a message, turn on your messages ffs.

Anyways I been trying to delete my post that broke your thread but the site won't let me in any way shape or form do anything (this is a major issue that needs fixing, this site needs to enable deleting messages from a users profile directly because the site gets broken whenever I accidentally reply while deleting the embedded video code from a quote.) So you're going to have to remake your excellent thread & then tell the mods to delete the prior thread or something.

Broner just wasn’t that good when he finally fought people his size. Nothing to do with wasted potential. He’s had opportunity over opportunity to be on top and he lost every time. Replace him with Kell brook and he’s my pick. Lost momentum after beating Porter because he got stabbed. Couldn’t make a notable fight so he fought GGG and that was the beginning of the end.

Broner did well against guys like John Molina and Theophane. They weren't small.

He just... won't let his hands go.
