Once you're on the ballot, you stay on it forever until you get voted in.

There's a lot of guys on it - Eubank, Hamed, Froch etc - who have been on it for a while but not voted in

Reducing the retirement threshold from 5 to 3 years means it's a lot tougher for guys who have been on the ballot for ages, to get inducted now.

Cotto will get in definitely at some point, probably next year but to be a first ballot now is a tough race

It’s a travesty that Cotto wasn’t a shoo in the first time.
Cotto is one of my favorite fighters. He was always game and gave it his all even in defeats.

How could Cotto not make the cut the first time? I love Andre Ward and not knocking on him but how is Ward a shoo in and not Cotto who won titles at 140, 147, 154 and 160 and fought all the top guys of his time?

          21!

I hope there is a blackjack table close by in case Mayweather gets bored.

Cotto isn't in the same stratosphere as these 3.

He shouldn't even be in consideration.

Entertaining fighter. And that's about it.

              Wtf?

Cotto? You guys high? Or Puerto Rican? Or both?

His 154 and 160 title runs were a farce, 160 especially

Miguel Cotto does not belong to HOF.

Toney was much greater than Ward

Don't think Ward deserves it but lesser resumes have made it in so I won't fuss about it.

Floyd and Wlad without question are hall of famers.

Glad Cotto didn't make it in this time. He made more money than Ward and Toney but his accomplishments in the ring really pale in comparison.

I'm glad to hear May, Klitchko and Ward got in. And I'm also glad that BHop, Marquez and Mosley will be part of the festivities as well. I'm sure Cotto and Toney will get in next year. I think tim Bradley will be eligible as well
