i personally think $70 is a lot for this fight. Canelo vs Smith is a good fight but it isn’t one of the most intriguing fights that fans necessarily were ****ing the drums for over the past year. Then when you take into account that the undercard sucks, that makes it even less worth the $70. I actually wish it was only Ppv and not dazn because I’d love to see what type of numbers Canelo would put up. I’d predict about half a mil Ppv buys at best.Comment

Garbage and so hypocritical and of course people will come and defend it (the exact same trolls who are not even in the US but have a lot to say about other US PPV's)
Canelo is a Free Agent so he can go back to PPV BUT DAZN looks really BAD in all this because their campaign/introduction was "PPV Is So Screwed" "PPV Is Dead"Last edited by Oldskoolg; 12-15-2020, 06:20 PM.Comment

The marketing for this is genius. DAZN is hi******* PPV retention to switch onto app technology. Whoever buys this gets DAZN for 4 months. It means you force your customer to use DAZN for four months all inclusive. I just wish it was 2 quid for y’all.
This is good theory for Canelo buyers whom don’t know about DAZN or don’t know app technologies. DAZN will take overComment

Again there are 2 parts- growing the base and connecting with the due hardship. DAZN was failing in both ways, so they went with the ppv option for the canelo fight because they saw the ppv sales of Tyson/jones and the pbc ppv’s.Comment
