It's 20 bucks to watch the fight on DAZN or 80 bucks through PPV.

I think the full maxim, therefore, should be PPV is for the braindead.

DAZN should rebrand their subscription as a PPV then Americans would be happy, same thing just call it a PPV then they can say see PPV isn't dead and be happy .. problem solved.

DAZN is PPV, you are paying to view fights. It's not free.

Garbage and so hypocritical and of course people will come and defend it (the exact same trolls who are not even in the US but have a lot to say about other US PPV's)

Canelo is a Free Agent so he can go back to PPV BUT DAZN looks really BAD in all this because their campaign/introduction was "PPV Is So Screwed" "PPV Is Dead"

Does this do more or less buys than Canelo vs Liam Smith?

Could be less. Wasn’t that on HBO? I’d have thought HBO promotion would have a further reach than some niche app.

Callum might be the better fighter but equally as unknown as Liam to the casual audience.

If anyone just wanted to see Canelo, why wouldn’t they just pay the regular 19.99 for the month?

So basically DAZN are just offering 4 months for a $10 discount, that’s really what it is.

But I can’t help but think some viewers/buyers through the cable company might not be too aware of DAZN and might just get hoodwinked into paying $70 for Canelo, not fully understanding they could just subscribe for a month for $19.99, if that’s all they wanted to see.

It's official. The original DAZN business model has been a failure.

They should have done this a long time ago.

Some people don’t care about it all and just want to buy the fight. Canelo is a free agent, he’s going to do whatever he wants.

Options are always good. Same people hating in this will buy a 70 dollar PPV with no added benefit and pay for espn+ and ppvs on espn+ on the side.

Good for them. I think its pretty cool that I can get a discounted ppv for already having DAZN to watch the premier fighter in boxing fight a fighter on their network. How the hell else is Canelo supposed to get paid. DAZN will just graciously give him sub money? Be realistic
