Lol at people thinking fury/Joshua will be the same model.... That fight will be a matchroom/top rank ppv with dazn axed out, Joshua is not under contract with dazn so expect Hearn to maximize his pot of money

I don’t know why this surprises anyone.
For any sports business to survive, they need to gain traction with current fans while also growing the fanbase.
Regardless of what Frankie2cucks kept arguing, the current base that supports boxing tends to support fighters and not necessarily the sport as a whole.
A lot of canelo/fishnets fans, like cotto/ Trinidad fans, like Floyd fans, like manny fans, purchase those fighters fights and don’t necessarily watch all the fights. DAZN simply doesn’t appeal to them.
This will be great for AJ because I’m sure a lot of American fans want to see him fight but don’t want to pay for DAZN to do so.
This is a win/win imo.

DAZN is - by far - the best boxing option in America. Its not even close. The value goes down significantly if Canelo leaves but its STILL bettee than everything PBC does and better than TR

$10 a month is a bargain for what they get compared to other networks given we know
America charge $60 for a ppv.
This month thise who had dazn (outside uk) got AJ, GGG and Canelo within 8 days!

Streamers gonna stream, but business moves forward.

No-one is asking the obvious question.
Canelo takes DAZN to court to get out of his contract, then fights on DAZN?? Then why did he have to break free in the first place?
This must mean that Golden Boy were really messing things up. Canelo got rid of the middleman and suddenly everything is OK again.

That’s fine, and if your a boxing fan that works out well - I do the same. However in America dazn would be bankrupt if they tried to get revenue on such low values because they would need to attract a ridiculous amount of casuals - basically 5x as many subscribers just for the revenue; but then there is indirect costs with dealing with more subscribers so in reality you need 6x as many.
