Great win for this guy, he pushed Teo to the limit as well. He’s a player at LW.

ESPN app crashed on me multiple times so i didn't see it. Sounds like a take of two fights and what alot of people predicted: 1)Verdejo's better skills show and/or 2) Nakatani's pressure causes Verdejo to fade.

I thought Verdejo would would win but I knew Nakatani would test him. Sounds like Verdejo failed the test. Also shows that Teo had good reason to struggle on an off night against the Japanese brawler.

Well he is also like 10 years older than Haney.

I don’t like Haney though, he’s a paper champ. He’s 22 and already a champ for no other reason other than politics.

Great point. Will Madera is a club fighter. Verdejo does not have the chin or the stamina to be elite.

And having a fighting heart like Verdejo has can't overcome the other shortcomings.

Well, at least his accident wasn't as bad as Paul Williams, I guess.

I feel for Verdejo he looked great offensively. Definitely had to be way up on the scorecards. He just doesn’t have elite level toughness. Doesn’t seem to take any big shots well. Maybe the accident took something from him.

Credit to Nakatani he’s a tough bastard, awkward and respectable punching power. He kinda reminds me of Kamegi. He takes way too many punches though. something seemed off at the post fight interview he was taking a long time to respond and after saying like 3 words he stopped and asked for water. They said he went to the hospital I hope he didn’t suffer a brain injury.

Great fight Nakatani had no quit in him.

I hear them say it was a precaution due to a prior orbital bone injury. The Chino was "Mas Chingon."
