Comments Thread For: Joshua: I'll Fight Wilder When He's Man Enough Not To Lie

WBA, IBF, IBO, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is still very much interested in facing Deontay Wilder in the ring - but cautions that Wilder must start being truthful in order to make their fight happen.

joshua should shutup about wilder, i didnt follow it all closely but i do remember they offered wilder a crappy flat fee for a long time when the fight should have been done and dusted, that was infuriating

Deontay Wilder being honest? Oh well that's not happening then. Bum squaders are not going to like this spout a load of salt about how somebody who isn't Deontay Wilder beat Joshua.

        “when”

        “If”

        “but”

        “except for”

        “however”

Yup getting pretty sick of this game.

Maybe Wilder should of took it, he was only just scraping just over a million Dollars a fight at the time. The flat fee from Joshua was for 15x that amount, and that was just the 1st offer.

TILL THIS DAYIYIYUUIYY he has only managed to get paid more than that a couple of times and that was cuz he turned down Joshua and had to be compensated for it which lost his management money.

Last time Joshua looked past an opponent to talk about Wilder he got dropped 4 times & lost his titles.

They offered him 3 fights worth 100 mill or 4 for 120 mill. that mos def aint a crappy flat fee. And Im sure its more than Wilder has earned in his whole career.

i have no idea what wilder was making for his fights in the run up to joshua but i would be very surprised if he was not making quite a bit more than 1 mil per fight

if i was in wilders shoes i would have told hearn to F Off if he offered 12 mil for me to go to the UK and fight joshua while joshua makes probably multiple times that in what was sure to be a mega fight

the fight had % written all over it, just offer the man 30% or a bit higher and im sure the fight would have been go, just my opinion, another fight goes sailing past its sell by date now, hearns daddy is on record as saying he would marinate the fight back then too, great idea there, its bad for boxing imo

Boxing fans have short term memory. Apparently AJ does too. He was saying all the things a fighter says when they don't want to fight. A la Thurman Spence. But so much has transpired since people only remember the last thing they heard or w.e. stands out.
