    Tyson Fury nominated for SPOTY

SIX SPORTS STARS REVEALED FOR BBC SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
A shortlist of six contenders has been announced for the 2020 BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
The nominees are cricketer Stuart Broad, jockey Hollie Doyle, Formula 1's Lewis Hamilton, footballer Jordan Henderson, snooker star Ronnie O'Sullivan, and the boxer Tyson Fury.
Voting will be open to the public during the Sports Personality programme on BBC One on Sunday, 20 December.
Whilst there is no cash prize for the winner of this award; the prestige of being voted the nation's favourite sports person of the year by the UK's general public, is recognised just as highly by everyone as an official royal title.
Fury should win this award and it shouldn't even be close, especially as F1 isn't a real sport.

Lewis Hamilton has just beat Schumachers record and he’s a *** activist, he will 100% win.

Whoever wins the two fights between him and AJ will win next year.

Put Hamilton in a crap car and see how many races he wins then lol.

Comparing an F1 driver to a boxer is an insult, quite frankly.

But yes, you're correct, the soyboys at the BBC love ***, so Hamilton will win.

Hamilton will win it by landslide, it's not boxing but it is a sport, pretty dangerous as well, last weekend should remind us of that.

I think there are many more people who try to become an F1 driver than boxer fyi I think even to reach f1 is incredible, a lot of the feeder series and other motorsport disciplines are people who had dreams of f1 but were not good enough, but they are awesomely talented still.

If Fury beats Joshua next year, he'll win it no doubt.

I mean there's obviously more to it than meets the eye but how many other sports can you be a champion while sitting on your ass? And no eSports are not sports obviously... Even golf, bowling, darts or billiards at least you have to stand up to participate...

Hes been in crap cars (2009) and still won races/poles - it's an ignorant statement (no offence) because the best drivers will end up in the best cars. Guy has been winning in karts, formula Renault, most dominant f3 season of all time, gp2, and F1 in his second year (2008) with not the best car btw.

He is padding his stats now and has had a dominant car for the majority of the last 6 seasons but still...

I'm a big f1 fan, his achievements must be respected - guys been winning for 25 years

An f1 driver will lose an average of 7-10lbs during a race - often having to steal rests because of the g's their necks are put through. They are trained similarly to astronauts - it's not boxing but still very physical and an average joe in no way would be able to do a race distance.

A professional bobsled team make their living sitting down, someone who does the luge is lying down, still incredibly dangerous and physical sports.

Thanks. It was half a troll post since I just wanted someone to school me on why they are actually athletes.

I watched part of that Netflix documentary on F1 so I should probably have known that anyway.

Also I was gonna say bobsled but then I forget they have to at least run at the start. Though that triggered memories of other sitting type winter track sports but I just pretended they didn't exist so I could make my trash post.

I don't respect car drivers, at least compared to world champion boxers.

From what i understand, you have to be born into money to become an F1 driver. Hamilton was a rich kid.

Anyone from any background can become a boxer.

2018 The Ferrari was better, and Hamilton for me? Produced his best driving ever 'At one point he was I believe 60 points behind Sebastian Vettel'. Hamilton has been a grand Prix winner in every single year he has been in formula 1, that is unprecedented statistic. Formula 1 HAS done everything to try and stop his domination, Mercedes and Hamilton continue to adapt etc

I think next year will be really close, and that is what Hamilton craves 'All the other drivers hide behind potential or excuses, Hamilton is held to a extremely held standard' to the point where people celebrate if he comes second or 3rd.

My Favorite was Fernando Alonso, but yes Hamilton's attitude and reaction to competition is something I admire.

Due to how the development of this years car is going into next year, I think the field will bunch up even more so etc 'Plus Hamilton may not even be driving his best'.

Note: I think there is a chance Hamilton won't win, Britain like winners but winners who have deficiencies. It is why people like those reality TV shows about music, and enjoy all the back stories of struggling aspiring artist 'Hamilton does not fit that script, where as Tyson Fury does' the way he ****s on about his issues and would not look out of place in a boozer.
