Oh I mean I picked Nate to beat Jake - I walked it back a good bit when I saw videos of Nate training - I wasn't that impressed. But I still favored him slightly going in.I get that. NBA players are among the softest.
But I just don't think Colby's boxing edge is good enough to overcome LeBron's size and athleticism.
Size just matters in fights, especially if this hypothetical fight were to take place. If you want an example take a look at Ernesto Hoost vs. Bob Sapp (Kickboxing). Hoost was the overwhelmingly talented and skillful kickboxer, But Bob Sapp used his immense size advantage (probably steroids too) and roughed him up and finished him twice.
I actually think Nate has that 'fighter' mentality, which as we are talking about, is rare for some modern days athletes/basketball players. For as athletic/strong/and big as Lebron is, something about him just says 'nope, not a fighter.' Which is just smart really. If you go around looking for fights, you will find them, and why should he search for fights? It would be silly.
But yeah the size/weight advantage is real in boxing/fighting. I wouldn't count Lebron out against anyone really but I just can't imagine him in the ring/octagon. I can't imagine him really needing to fight to the extent where he really trained, and really competed in the ring, like he would need to, to win most of those matchups.
I agree that if he really needed to, he could probably train well and be a smart talented fighter in there. I think someone like Rodman or Artest, similar sizes, would be better than him.Comment

If you really think this last election was legit, I have a bridge to sell you in NYC Joe. You can be happy your team won, but the rigging was so obvious it is hard to miss even if you are trying. Thinking ***** got 15 million more votes than Hillary for example, especially when Trump got 11 million more than he got in 2016. Numbers all over just don't add up bro.
Huh? What in the world are you even talking about dude lol. I don't even watch the NBA and haven't in years. Nothing Lebron says bothers me. I think he is a really smart basketball player and one of the best ever for sure. That has nothing to with Lebron fighting in MMA. He's as entitled to speak his mind as much as a right wing bigot like Covington is.
Not surprised only Lebron's comments are considered offensive to you. You're not fooling anybody with your white supremacist agenda.
By the way, I'm not mad at anybody. Stop projecting.
I just think Lebron is just as clearly an idiot on non-basketball related matters. He shows that every time he opens his mouth. For example, when he said people who voted for Trump in 2016, 'wasn't educated' without any sense of irony, lol. That isn't a political statement by me - just a statement pointing out how laughable the guy is when he tries to speak out on issues. He is embarrassing, just as most of these athletes are when they try and speak on issues.
He (they) lives in his little protected bubble, making hundreds of millions of dollars. The only reason he speaks out on some of the issues he does, is because he feels so disconnected from people in his community who have nothing compared to him, so he throws out his superficial platitudes from time to time in order to try and seem like he is down for the cause.
Deep down he probably feels guilty that he has it all and has all these people like you, who have nothing comparatively, so desperate to defend him. So he throws you a bone or two from time to time for scraps and to keep you on the bandwagon. By your political views and these views, you seem very easily swayed and influenced. Sad man.
I've yet to see you make a post on here, that isn't somewhat race related. That stuff seems to run your life. Must be miserable. In real life you are probably a very small, unimpressive person. Work on fixing yourself and your self-esteem some and then you won't project your issues onto everyone else. Best of luck, sincerely.Last edited by Boxing-1013; 12-02-2020, 01:47 PM.Comment

But Lebron courts comments and offers like this - when you are as outspoken as he is about political things, it will rub people of the opposite persuasion the wrong way.
Also when you are a mega star, you will get called out for the attention alone. If you are mad at Colby for calling out Lebron, you'd have to be mad at Floyd for doing what he did, etc etc.Read the next part of my post, that you didn't highlight man. In fight sports, this is how you get attention. Attention equals viewers - viewers equals more money. It's all part of the game. It's how you have to do it really in fight sports. Look at Ali and how he modeled his stuff a bit after Gorgeous George.Originally posted by VatoMulattoA fighter calling out a non fighter? How is that cool??
Colby is an outspoken Trump supporter, Not everyone is a fan of his MAGA obsession. Imagine players in the NBA calling him out 1v1 in basketball simply because they disagree with his political views?? That would be absurd.
Everyone knows a match-up like this will never happen. Colby is either insecure or just using LBJ name to get his name out there promoting himself. LBJ should ignore him cause Colby obviously enjoys the attention.
Colby plays up his political angle to get more attention as well. I feel he is sincere more or less in what he says, but I think he plays that role up because it gives him the attention he seeks.Comment

Let's not forget either when he said black people were being hunted by white people!!! Without any regard for what happened in the story he was citing apparently. Certainly without any regard to what crime statistics show. And after Lebron made those comments, you had at least a couple stories where the inverse actually happened.
Lebron is not a good guy, he is not using his enormous platform to try and foster unity and progress. He is an easily influenced person who wants to enjoy his life of immense privilege, and throws out (dangerous) comments from time to time, so he doesn't get called a sell out and an uncle Tom.Comment

I would watch Colby vs LeBron. And Colby would end it whenever he chooses to KTFO LeBron.
You don't play Boxing son.Comment
