So a guy who's been fighting his entire life says he can knock out an NBA player? Ya don't say!
Colby Covington says he'd knock out LeBron James. Next potential mega fight?????

I get that. NBA players are among the softest.Colby actually has really good technique in boxing. He looks smooth in there. Not a tremendous amount of power though; that's where Usman got him.
Lebron would have a better chance than Nate Robinson vs Colby obviously, based on Lebron having 100 pounds on him and Colby a 170 pound fighter, but not every athlete is a fighter.
It's honestly hard for me to imagine some of these guys in a real fight - some of these guys that flop so theatrically for example. I don't think a mentality like that carries over too well to fighting.
But I just don't think Colby's boxing edge is good enough to overcome LeBron's size and athleticism.
Size just matters in fights, especially if this hypothetical fight were to take place. If you want an example take a look at Ernesto Hoost vs. Bob Sapp (Kickboxing). Hoost was the overwhelmingly talented and skillful kickboxer, But Bob Sapp used his immense size advantage (probably steroids too) and roughed him up and finished him twice.Comment

That has nothing to with Lebron fighting in MMA. He's as entitled to speak his mind as much as a right wing bigot like Covington is.But Lebron courts comments and offers like this - when you are as outspoken as he is about political things, it will rub people of the opposite persuasion the wrong way.
Also when you are a mega star, you will get called out for the attention alone. If you are mad at Colby for calling out Lebron, you'd have to be mad at Floyd for doing what he did, etc etc.
Not surprised only Lebron's comments are considered offensive to you. You're not fooling anybody with your white supremacist agenda.
By the way, I'm not mad at anybody. Stop projecting.Comment

All LeBron has over Nate Robinson athletically is size. We don't know anything about LeBron's chin. He acts like a ***** when he gets fouled, we know that.Give LeBron about 1-2 months of training, and he would absolutely crush Colby. There are levels to athleticism, and LeBron is perhaps the greatest athlete we've ever seen.
Keep in mind that LeBron is a foot taller, will have a huge reach advantage and also a huge weight advantage to go along with just being a clearly superior athlete.
Nate Robinson was a washed up, 5'8 retired player, going up against a 6'1 Cruiserweight who clearly outweighed him.
Colby's boxing is terrible as well.
A youtuber KOd the great athlete Nate Robinson (3-time slam dunk champ, held his own & made millions playing against much taller NBA players). You don't think a 200lb professional fighter could KO LeBron? You're delusional. Colby probably is about 200lbs when not cutting weight, and his boxing is fine. Nate is also slightly younger than LeBron.
There's a reason that HW is for all 200+ ... a 200+ pound man can hit hard enough to KO anyone with a clean shot. LeBron with 2 months of training gets KOd worse than Nate. At least Nate was a lifetime boxing fan and had some knowledge of fighting.Last edited by buge; 12-02-2020, 12:43 AM.Comment

This and also why?
Has LeBron shown any signs of wanting to step in the ring?
This seems extremely desperate and weird, just trying to initiate another circus fight that no one really wants to see? Oh some ex NBA guy got KFTO I better call out the biggest name (I'm assuming) in the NBA for a fight since I am the #1 MMA welterweight (Yeah I used the google)Comment
