Listen, we can all be upset about Crawford's refusal to push himself. But his OWN PROMOTER has said, the guy hasn't stepped up.

So...let's stop disrespecting Virgil Ortiz, because even now, he would be 2x better than the best guy on Crawford's resume, period.

Because it's QUITE possible Ortiz upsets Crawford the same way Lopez upset Loma, for the same reasons.
is this the reason why pac-crawford didn't happen? so sad that we know he was all scared after all.

No need to rush him. Did Oscar see what happened to Dubois yesterday? Ortiz is an excellent talent and I believe him and Jared Ennis will be huge in about 2yrs with Ennis being the kingpin.

Like you I wouldn’t rule him out though, I’m a huge admirer of Crawford but Ortiz has massive potential.
Yep! Rashidi Ellis, Jessie Vargas, Jamal James, Yordenis Ugas, or even Manny Pacquiao! I see Crawford vs. Ortiz like Mayweather vs. Canelo. Ortiz would learn a lot from it, but he won't win.

Yeah he needs to fight a few guys who are going to try and push him back and not just look to survive.

Vargas would be a good measuring stick IMO.

It could look like Floyd vs Canelo, Crawford is more spiteful than Mayweather was though, he’d look to put a beating on the kid IMO.

Give Ortiz a year and 2-3 step up fights and I think he gives the top guys hell.

I ain't mad at that fight. Seems like a no win situation for Bud doe. If he beats him he was supposed to & if he loses he's a bum now to the dipsh^t fans + it's not likely to pay as well as the risk he's taking.

Kinda feel like Bob's move is gonna be to move JCR into a fight with Bud if he gets by Taylor & they feel JCR gots a okay to good chance at upsetting Bud. That's the move to get the Bud rub before he leaves TR. If they don't feel like JCR is ready for a Bud fight I feel it's more likely Bud fights some random ass guy who's name we can't pronounce from some ex-soviet country in some low profile event that is going up the biggest UFC event of next year.

“Disrespecting Ortiz”= stating he is a contender and not on the level of Crawford? Cor blimey lad, the street chemists must have a very loyal patron here...

Vargas is a GREAT measuring stick and you know your fighter is gonna get a GOOD solid 12 rounds worth of work.

This would be worse than Floyd/Canelo right now... At this point Crawford stronger than Floyd was.
