This isn't a strong time in the history of the sport. But the corruption in boxing has always been there, is there a single decade where we had no major robberies? The media/fan attention on the worst aspects of boxing have been an issue for decades. There were a lot of great fights from 2010-2015 but 90% of the talk on here was about Floyd vs Pac. Some great fights in the late 90s early 2000s but at the time a lot of boxing news articles were either 'what crazy thing will Tyson do next?' or 'Tyson just did something else crazy'

For a business with people actually called Promoters in it boxing does a sh^tty job at Promoting itself thats for sure.

The problem is easy to see doe. Too many chiefs not enough indians. If there was as many folks trying to make 20 different NFL-like leagues in pro football it'd be a sh^t show there too. Instead they got a nice lil chain of command of NFL folks looking out for the integrity of pro football. Boxing has nothing like that & the sport suffers because of it.

I don't think anyone is complaining about the good matchups. I think people complain cuz the good matchups don't happen as often as they could if the sport made sense outside of the ring as much as other sports make sense outside of their arena of competition.

All these other pro sports are Amazon or Walmart with their level of professionalism, Boxing is like a swap meet or flea market. Basically we all enjoy the good fights while thinking the sport could be doing better more often than it does if their was a real sport infrastructure looking out for the sport of boxing instead of just cashing out or trying to get the most money while offering the least to fans like it does 95% of the time.
