Why is GGG fighting these boxers?

G has Canelo x2, Jacobs, Murray, Chenko, Geale, Lemieux and Macklin. There's also a few decent wins in there too.

Canelo has Kovalev (Old, ropey, and intentionally brought back so soon after his fight in Russia to make sure he wasn't at his best, even though he was already very much past it)

Jacobs (Who he tried to weight drain like others)

Trout (Who beat no one his own weight that was fresh whether they were good or decent. A smaller past his prime Cotto is as good as it gets for him)

Canelo doesn't come close to G's accomplishments. He never will either.

When GGG fought Derevyanchenko, it was called a cherry pick. When Jermall Charlo fights Derevyanchenko, it is a step up, lol.

Yeah Charlo became GGG's mandatory but GGG chose to fight the Canelo rematch instead. Charlo was also canelos mandatory and Canelo just decided to drop his belt all together. Similar to what he did when ggg was his mandatory after the Cotto fight.
