GGG has to fight him otherwise he'll be stripped. I don't like the fight myself as G is getting on with age and needs only big fights at this point. But it is what it is. Canelo didn't want the third fight and waited until G was even older to see if he can make it 3rd time lucky in getting an actual legit win over him and not the robberies he did in fight 1 and 2. But due to chasing Canelo, the IBF called for him to fight the mandatory. Once it's been called, you can't unify. You have to fight. Otherwise they'll strip you.

The IBF calls for a mandatory to be satisfied every year regardless if they're the number 1 or not. It will go to the highest ranked fighter, which is this guy. They called for it. Like they do every year.

You mean DAZN went out to sign him? Yeah, G can't just walk up and demand they sign him with lots of money on the line. The same way Canelo couldn't. DAZN had to have wanted them in the first place and approached them.

G, DAZN and his management will decide his fight dates. It isn't up to him. But to think G is fighting before Canelo is due to choice and it being all about Canelo, is nothing but fantasy on your part. Projecting isn't going to make those defeats for Canelo go away.
