————-He beat both in the rematch. So yeah, he beat every man he ever faced. It isn't too hard to understand that simple fact.
Floyd ducked for most of his career and cherry picked like a woman.
Ward lost the Kovalev fights. The first one on points even after he had to clinch and hit without the crooked ref taking any points or stopping him from doing so after Kovalev started busting him up and dropping him. Ward knew what was coming if he didn't cheat for most of the fight after getting up. He still lost though and got a robbery.
The rematch had Kovalev winning 5-2 on anyones scorecard if they know how to score a fight properly. But in the 8th, Ward rocked Kovalev, then proceeded to whack him the balls repeatedly until another crooked ref stopped the fight unfairly and let Ward get away with more cheating and corruption.
And they weren't journeymen either. Rahman had good victories outside of the Lewis win. Many great fighters have lost to good world class fighters or less. McCall was decent, he didn't have any good wins going in, but he wasn't a journeyman. Same thing with Randy Turpin going into the Robinson fight. He was a decent fighter without any good wins going in. But would you say Robinson lost to a journeyman? Of course you wouldn't. That would be ******. Same thing with McCall and Lewis.
I don’t suppose you have some critique about Calzaghe not beating everyone he ever faced?
You clearly don’t like Floyd or Ward so tell us how Calzaghe was awful.
Apart from the spectacular KO losses that Lewis suffered, he also got beat by Vitali and only the eye injury saved him from another loss. Ray Mercer also beat him and he got a gift decision. I’m sure you can defend that too?
Can you tell us the “good wins” that Rahman had? Prior to KO’ing Lewis, Rahman got blasted out the ring by Maskaev and got KO’d by David Tua. He still managed to KO the greatest HW in history.
McCall had 5 losses including a KO loss to Frank Bruno and yet he still managed to KO Lennox.
Rahman and McCall aren’t even in the top 40 HW boxers of all time yet somehow you want us to believe they were good?
Dude, you are trying so hard to convince us that Rahman or McCall were good just to elevate Lewis to a place he doesn’t belong.Comment

Lewis is a ****. Has always been a ****. His ****ishness is obvious. He should just close his **** and let the boxing world move on. Without the correct ref, Tyson would have beat him. His mouth reminds me of a ****.Comment

McCall and Rahman although not great would both be top5 in this era. Both losses were avenged so like it or not he beat every man he ever fought.—————-
What about Haseem Rahman and Oliver McCall? Do you think they would have dominated this era?
“Beat every man he ever fought”!! Floyd, Calzaghe, Ward, all beat every man they ever fought in the truest sense.
When you say it that way, one would think Lewis retired undefeated. He got knocked out by two journeymen.Comment

So iron chinned McCall lost by KO to Frank Bruno huh? Thats interesting i remember differently perhaps you want to check your facts.————-

Come on now.
Lewis would body bag Wilder. It would be brutal. Same with AJ. Boxing skills from Lewis levels above
The Fury fight would be interesting Lewis power would tell.Comment

You are jumping on a conversation that has a longer thread than what you caught in but I’m not going to be disrespectful like you.
I was incorrect to write that McCall was KO’d by Bruno. I’m not sure how I mussed that. Regardless, McCall did lose to Bruno and had several losses by the time he blasted Lewis out. You can correct me without the attitude.
Lewis win the fight. I’m just using the same logic the guy I was responding to was using.
Andre Ward beat everyone he fought so did Floyd and so did Calzaghe. They retired undefeated.
You and that guy harp on about Lewis beating everyone he faced yet he got KO’d twice. By nondescript guys.
Instead of addressing my point, Side-Knee goes to discredit Floyd and Ward. Talking about gift decisions. Which is what Lewis got against Vitali. That’s not a knock on Lewis. It’s a jab at you guys that keep defending Lewis’ spectacular losses to guys that are not in the top 30 HW boxers of all time.
So to use your logic, Lennox Lewis lost twice by KO. Period.Comment

Writing him off because of that though? Especially if you take into account the rest of his career. Nope. Under Steward he was a scary proposition.Comment
