Not the most of all time, not by a long shot, but Whyte v Povetkin seems like a textbook recent example to me. Povetkin losing the fight heavily and looking like he's about to unravel after two knockdowns - it looks like the familiar pattern of a fighter who was good at his peak but now long past it just no longer being able to handle a younger and hungrier fighter, and that in the next round or two it'll be curtains not only in this fight but in his career. Then all of that just gets thrown in the trash and he knocks Whyte flat on his back with one shot. I think it was a combination of things, the fact that he looked well and truly finished, the smoothness, almost languidity of the uppercut he throws despite the incredible precision of it, the way Whyte lurches back and lands flat on his back like a tree being felled like a lumberjack, the weird atmosphere of the odd venue and lack of audience, all of it just combines for a surreal moment that nobody could have pictured just a minute earlier. I don't think it was FOTY or anything, and now with the Davis KO over LSC few weeks ago I don't even think it's KOOTY any more, but for me it was the most memorable boxing moment of the year so far.

It’s up there but Marquez always had a chance, all the fights were damn close.

Some good examples in here, Douglas's KO over Tyson was very shocking to me as a kid who thought Tyson was unbeatable. Same with Tarver's KO of RJJ in the rematch. I thought Roy would beat Tarver more comfortably than the first fight but it turned out to be the beginning of the end for him.

One fight that legit shocked me was Junior Jones's win over Barrera in the first fight. I didn't see that coming at all. I think it went down as a DQ because Barrera's corner went into the ring to save their guy from further punishment but the way Junior dropped and beat him down at the end of the 5th was something I did not see coming.

Fury-Wilder 2 wasn't shocking, most were picking Fury to win. I guess the nature of the victory is what shocked people but most thought he would win anyway. Same with Pac-JMM 4, most had Marquez winning their last couple of fights and a lot of people picked him to win this time, it was just the nature of the win. People didn't expect it to be a brutal KO but gave him a good chance of outpointing Pac.

I think the most shocking ones are when the unexpected guy wins in an unexpected way like Ruiz beating down and stopping AJ in their first fight.

I have never read on this site a post that said Golovkin was 10x better than Hopkins. How the hell do you come up with this crap.

Mosley-Margarito and Pac-De la Hoya come to mind. Hindsight is 20/20 but at the time both azzwhoopings were unexpected
