This one sits at the top for me. Holyfield vs Tyson 1 wasnt a shocker for me. I always thought Holyfield would do work on Tyson. Ali vs Foreman was apparently a big one, I was to young to get it at the time and Marquez smoking Paq was a shocker for also. They were well matched obviously but who saw Paq getting slept like that.

      Agreed.

I think Tyson vs. Douglas has to be up there but I was a kid for that and wasn't following the sport. Roy Jones was untouchable, him getting iced with 1 punch was unimaginable.

I went to a casino the next week just to catch the replay on HBO, Floyd vs. Corley was on before the replay and that fight was good but at the time I couldn't care less because I needed to see that KO.

Pac vs. Marquez 4 was also surprising but there was already video of Pac getting smoked and even dropped hard so it wasn't as shocking for me.

For people of a certain age, Tyson was considered unbeatable and, in theory at least, wasn't even in his prime yet. He was going to reign for a long time.

I've seen shocks and surprise results but nothing equates to Tyson v Douglas.

This may be off kilter but I remember the fight between Oquendo and ettiene. Clifford told his corner my legs I can't feel my legs LOL his trainer replied then use your damn arms use your arms, basically throwing him out there to get knocked out. So Clifford went out that round and he got exactly what I predicted he got knocked out and the crazy thing is he just got out of jail for 10 years for armed robbery and then after the Tyson fight something happened again where he put himself back in jail for the rest of his life with no parole I guess that's the legacy of the black rhino. Kind of sad but true. Also his corner should have stopped the fight.

It was crazy because the black rhino was coming off of a big win over Lawrence clay Bay and Oquendo wasn't known as much of a puncher but dang it dog he sure knocked out the overdog.

Teofimo winning actually was pretty shocking, good call. Was Pac-De la Hoya shocking? At least in the way it happened? Baldomir and Judah of course. Forrest and Mayorga. Garcia beating Matthysse was also pretty shocking to me. To a much smaller capacity but equally as shocking, Josesito breaking Victor Ortiz jaw in a tune-up fight for Canelo

Lomachenko looking like a deer in the headlight for 8 rounds against a kid was pretty bad.

People using the word “shocking” a little too loosely.

An American president getting sniped is shocking.

A bear charging right at you from the tree line is shocking.

RJJ getting knocked out by Tarver was shocking.

I’d throw Pacquiao-Marquez 4 up there as well, for the way Marquez shockingly halted the Pacquiao hype-train.

What are some other results in boxing where you remember feeling like a hype-train got derailed in shocking fashion?
