People dont like his level of competition plus his boring personality dont help him get noticed.

I like Crawford alot as a fighter and he needs to get away from Arum asap and hopefully that leads to better fights.

I can't vouch for his personality, but being an undisputed 140 pound champion challenges the statement his level of opposition has been questionable, surely?

It sounds like Bob was throwing some very subtle and subliminal racist shade at Crawford. In other words, Bob is saying unless Terence can get the white mainstream, crossover audience to notice him then he will never be a pay per view star or get the kind of money that he feels he deserves. He never said that about Loma. It just goes to show that when an American fighter is black; The bar is set much higher for him no matter how good he is in the ring.

Surely PPV is the ultimate meritocracy in terms of popularity?

You are a PPV star if people pay to view. If they don't, you aren't.

It doesn't matter who pays, just how many.

And let's face it, in boxing there are only a select few genuine PPV stars.

Only if the statement about level of opposition was directed to his spell at 140...

...Which it undoubtedly wasn't.

Crawford's problem is not about 140. He cleared out the division. That's a given., His problem, though, is about who he has fought at 147. His opponents have been underwhelming.

There's a comparison to be made with Usyk. Cleared out a less glamorous division. Moved up to a more lucrative weight. You can't say his level of opponents at HW hasn't been questionable because he was undisputed at cruiser, as the two are separate issues.

I think Crawford is very good. But he really could/should have been fighting better opponents at 147 given how good he is.

I lay the blame squarely at PBC's feet for the stagnation and strangulation of Crawford's options at 147.

The truth as I see it is the big boys at 147 with PBC don't want to risk or rather their broker Al Haymon doesn't want to mess with the current arrangement.

I'm not sure how he profits from having fighters in his stable fight at a minimum, in mismatches; but he seems to make it work.

The guy needs to go bad. He's worse than Don King, and that's saying something.

At least Don King knew about boxing, whereas for Haymon it's simply a money-making enterprise, that's all.

Of course Arum is a typical outspoken #$& who appears to be losing the filter between his mouth and brain more frequently.

It's funny he mentioned Mayweather, as Jr was once promoted by Arum, but exited the contract over disputes.

What else can Crawford do FFS? resort to gutter trash talk? maybe that's not his style - and besides he's right - it's Arum's job (as hard as that might be) to try and negotiate fights with titlists from PBC. All he has to do is convince Haymon that he'll make bank and that ought to be enough.

It's sad, frustrating and disappointing to watch a P4P fighter marinate away in a division packed with mouth-watering match-up's.

I dont understand why nobody likes Terence Crawford.

I wanna like Crawford I really do. I like his fighting approach and he does have a fan friendly style when he fights. I think he’s more skilled fighter at WW (even though it’s pretty much less proven at the elite level scale). I still believe he’s the best fighter at WW and that’s much to say considering how deep the division is.

What turns me off about Crawford is, the way he thinks at times. He doesn’t want to consider paycuts when it’s the most sensible thing to do at this time. He may not be the promoter and it’s not his job, but he has to make the fans believe that his fights are worth buying.

Notice how talked about and Brook, Kava and Khan. He just tells the truth about the fight being mismatch which just confirms to the fans’ minds that the fight is shit and not worth watching. He simply just had to LIE, but no he’s just better than them, bar none. ‘Therefore, fight is crap then. I won’t buy them’ - that’s gonna be people‘s response.

One last thing that turns me off about Bud is him feeling entitled. He should know by now that he’s not a successful draw. You can blame him or Arum for that, but whatever.
He’s asking ridiculous money when it comes to Pac and Spence. That latest argument asking 60-40 against Spence was hilarious. His PPV numbers don’t lie, it’s hard to compare against Spence.

Outside Pac and Spence, he doesn’t even seem eager to fight anybody else. He shouldn’t become very choosy at this point for he’s the one who desperately needs a career defining win.

Bud should embrace reality that’s he’s not a draw at this point. Take acceptable paycuts, especially against Spence. Get a mega match against Pac afterwards. I think he beats both of them, I think he beats all of them tbh. But it’s just not time to DEMAND if you’re Bud right now

I honestly don't agree with the Pac ducking narrative.

The are two things I know with CERTAINTY.

1. Pac asked for a 20 million guarantee for the fight and Arum refused, so Pac left top rank.

2. I vividly remember watching a post fight interview of Crawford where he said Manny has to come down to 140 to fight him or no fight.

So who ducked who?

1. Pac priced himself out on purpose with that 20mil sh@t!!

2.Pac was willing to fight a few others at 140 at that time.

3. Crawford moved up to 147 hoping to make the Pac fight easier after several yrs still no Pac.

4. Pac and Crawford both have 147 belts right now and fight can be made.

What's the excuse for Pac now??

Arum over payed Crawford on there last contract and is crying about it? Sounds kind of like DAZN refusing to pay Canelo the contracted fee per fight because they too realized they over payed and were losing millions per fight.

You must have bumped your head. Crawford deserves purse parity, not 40/60. And what PPV has Spence ever carried? The Garcia fight was mostly carried by Mikey and Porter played a big part carrying theirs. So this nonsense about 60/40 from Errol is just his way of once again avoiding the Crawford fight, something he's been doing for the past two years.
