  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Arum's Comments Were So Disrespectful To Terence Crawford

Bob Arum has drawn the ire and attention of his industry peers, as only he can. Among those stunned by recent comments made by the Hall-of-Fame promoter regarding his star client in Terence Crawford is Arum's longtime business rival, Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn. Arum has come under fire for recent comments made regarding Crawford (37-0, 28KOs) shortly after his dismantling of former welterweight titlist Kell Brook in four rounds this Saturday in Las Vegas.

Think Hearn is pretty spot on. I think there are better ways to market Crawford than Arum has done (hint it doesn't involve some corny interview with Mark Kriegel trying to get inside the mind of the fighter and tug on the heart strings).

Based on Arum's comments I can't imagine that relationship will continue. Bob seems to think it's a case of diminishing returns and Crawford has to see the allure of fighting the names that have eluded him so far...

Wow....I didn't Arum said this. What about his favorite line, "the greatest since Mohammed Ali"?

Arum is still upset at Lomo's loss I see. That is who Arum wanted to promote into superstar, but everything fell flat with this Lomo dude. Sorry, Arum, for your crashed hype.
