If only it were that simple. Good idea though.
When a black person has accomplished something, it seems as though other black people scrutinize, question and attempt to ruin it...even if you're helping them.
As a a black man, I see this so much and it's bothersome.Comment

"He is a superstar in Omaha"
A very funny line. As if Omaha was NYC. The problem is Haymon will not let ANY of his fighters fight anyone outside his promotion and no matter how much promoting Arum would or could do with Crawford is irrelevant because Haymon will not let his fighters fight outside of PBC (hell, he barely wants his best PBC fighters to fight each other). Not only is this a detriment to PBC fighters careers, money wise, star making ability, and most importantly their body of work, it is a detriment to all fighters outside of PBC and boxing as a whole.
Haymon has been an absolute disaster for the sport and he is responsible for its decline overall due to his attitude and refusal to let his fighters fight the best out there. As for Arum, there is not much he can do about it no matter how much he promotes Crawford. Just look at Canelo, his is the biggest star in boxing and anyone who fights him gets the biggest pay day of their careers yet he also has trouble finding people to get in the ring with him, especially PBC fighters like the Charlo brothers. And this is all because of the Haymon effect which has spread outside of PBC and has infected other fighters attitudes. Just look at Garcia and Derevyanchenko. Both bought into the Haymon effect and ruined their chances of becoming rich and a big star.
We all know Arum would make a fight with any promoter as long as there is money to be made. Haymon still has this fantasy that he can monopolize boxing with this behavior. Haymon is a cancer to boxing and the cancer has spread to every organ.Last edited by jdp28tx; 11-18-2020, 02:19 PM.Comment

Wow....I didn't Arum said this. What about his favorite line, "the greatest since Mohammed Ali"?
Arum is still upset at Lomo's loss I see. That is who Arum wanted to promote into superstar, but everything fell flat with this Lomo dude. Sorry, Arum, for your crashed hype.
Loma is in his 30s, Teo is 23, american, he's pretty fine with Teo who will end at 147 where the money is.
Business wise a Teo win was a very good thing for ol'bob.
And it's not like Loma's career has been destroyed here. Most people get that Loma has the balls to take tough fights unlike 90% of others boxing "stars".
You guys are utterly obsessed with Loma's "hype" and conspiracies theories around him.
Loma's hype is built on an ATG olympic boxing status, world champ in 3 fights and 3 divisions champ in 13 fights,
not for being "european" or whatever I read on this forum.Last edited by BillyBoxing; 11-18-2020, 02:25 PM.Comment

Hearn isn't my favorite person but he's 1000% correct here.
I hope Bud gets on board with a promoter who will make him a real star outside of Omaha.Comment
