the problem is serg has beat only one good quaility opponent impressively and that was brewster. so in that regard it was legit to bring up that stoppage loss to mo harris to put things in perspective. serg is still untested in my opinion and too green for wlad. he made a lot of mistakes against brewster such as leading with his right hand that he wouldnt get away with in a seasoned fighter like wlad. brewster was just too slow to take advantage in that fight and he wasnt in good shape. did you see his waistline? he was too heavy and even his trainor admitted such -
Sergei is digging himself a grave. I saw his fight against Brewster he lacked defense and was open to a lot of Brewsters punches. Wlad has the most developed offensive arsenal of any heavyweight fighter in the past 10 years. And a clean assault on Lyaikovich will put him out for the count.Comment

I think this fight will be the war that Wlad doesn't want. If he just believes in himself he can win. Sergei is gonna test Wlad's toughness if this fight happens and Wlad will pass the test. Wlad by 9th round tko in a brutal fight.Comment

...Yep, too big, too strong, too good, and better paced then he used to be. Sergei would get a one sided beating IMO.Comment

Everyone was untested at some point in their career.
Seriously though, I think Liakhovich is a very tough fighter. Of course he doesn't have as much experience but he does ha a pretty good offense IMO. He is also a pretty big guy, he weighs about the same as Wlad and is only 2" smaller. Wlad will have a hell of a time to defend himself against someone his weight and height who will not be afraid to come forward and can land some combos. Brewster was a little heavy but he was only 4 pounds heavier than in his previous fight, which is not THAT big of a deal for a natural HW.Comment

I would say that Briggs would be more dangerous for Wlad early on, but in a long run and Sergey is a more dangerous fighter.
I was just rewatching his fight against Lamon, and as I said before, Sergey is able to carry his arsenal into deep waters.
I think he will give Wlad fits and will be able to pressure him for the duration of the fight, but....he does have some defense holes that a fighter like Wlad will capitalise on. If Sergey is able to sustain Wlad's power and Wlad takes him lightly, he got a good chance to upset the younger Klit, but if the same Klit shows up, that fought Peter, he will box circles against Sergey and will be able to show off his offense skills from all possible angles.
Sergey's footspeed is very sub-par. It's not as evident against Brewster, because Brewster is a slow behemoth himself, but he is quite slow.Comment

I agree. I like serge. he's tough and well spoken. I hope to see him do well but I just dont see that talented a fighter. he's a big heavyweight that throws good combos but he's not that strong nor hits very hard. he also leaves himself open when he punches. Id favor a handful of fighters to beat him. including peter, brock and even toney if he came in descent shape. even maskeav I'd slightly favor. I think his experience would be enough to beat sergOriginally posted by EnayzeSergei is digging himself a grave.
