36 isn't old when he hasn't ever been in a real fight.

Wasn't Floyd 36 when he schooled Canelo?
Sounds like you don't like GGG, which is fine. Here is my objective take:

    1. The "anybody from 154-168" statement was a mistake, especially since I now have to read the same comment 154-168 times in every GGG thread

    2. Ward was there at 168 but he was also on the shelf from 2013-2015, which was when Golovkin's star rose. Lara was also there and I will count that as a legitimate miss

    3. Martinez was starting to decline by 2013 but we got robbed off a potential "passing of the torch" fight too. GGG was no less deserving than Martin Murray at that time as he had already headlined on HBO by then

    4. Cotto won a middleweight belt and defended it so he wasn't that little. If he was too small for the weight then he would have vacated instead of facing Canelo

    5. Canelo has fought as high as 175 so he clearly isn't little, and he was busting at the seams at 154 back then

    6. Yes Mayweather was 36 when he beat Canelo, and even Floyd wasn't as good at 36 as he was at 32 or 34.

GGG is far from perfect but he's not as terrible as critics make him out to be.

What happened? He beat Canelo and was robbed. That’s what happened. You clowns talk about him like he didn’t beat Canelo easily in the first fight. Like you don’t know they aged him out. Like we don’t all know if GGG was an American or Mexican with Vegas backing and Canelo was the Eastern European GGG would’ve got two wins on his record and would still be undefeated.

ggg ducked guys like andre ward and lara back in the day while claiming to be avoided and wanting smoke from 154 ibs to 168 ibs. When ward called out the BS, the media painted ward as a hater. ggg claimed to be interested in unifying, but changed his tune when he chased canelo and even let the IBF strip him of his belt. ggg is now ducking andrade and jermall charlo. ggg claimed that floyd is a businessman and claim to love the sport, yet all of his decisions are motivated by $$$. I can go on and on on his hypocrisy, but I will leave it at that. Long story short, he is a clout chaser and an overhyped boxer who failed to live up to his hype. Right now, he is a shot fighter waiting for his next cheque before retiring. He had a very unfulfilling career and should never be considered an ATG by any means.

In the case of Cotto, ggg accepted the step aside money to let Cotto/Canelo happen so he has no right to bytche about Cotto not fighting him.

In the case of Martinez, Martinez chose to fight for more money (Chavez Jr, Cotto) than a ggg fight could bring.

Ward? If team ggg actually thought he could beat Ward they would have made the fight. I give them somewhat of a pass because they made millions vs Canelo that they wouldn't have made with a Ward loss on his resume however I thought it was absolutely chicken shyte of team ggg to insist on 164 for Ward after approving 168 for both Froch and Chavez Jr. They knew Ward would be hard pressed to make 168 and 164 would be out of the question. They could act like they were interested in a Ward fight but never actually have to fight him.

I thought he absolutely beat Jacobs and won the first Canelo fight but I thought Canelo edges him in the second fight and Derv beat him also.
