He has noway near the skill of Haney & who is he knocking out cold? Romero Duno? Me neither!
Beating Luke Campbell only makes him the #2 lightweight in your eyes. Luke Campbells best win is Euro level Yvan Mendy who he is 1-1 with. He's lost twice at world level and is 1-1 at Euro level. Beating him means very little.
Gamboa with no legs let alone one> CampbellComment

Exactly people expect a spectacular performance every time if not their a hype job, exposed etc . He literally basically won every round against Gamboa and you could tell in the 12th round he had enough power to knock out Gamboa but Gamboa just wasn't engagingBut that's the thing, how do you stop a guy who does not want to engage, and continuously holds to survive? When Canelo fought Chavez Jr, everyone was criticizing Canelo for not knocking him out but Chavez was in survival mode the whole fight.
It's not easy to knock a guy out when his objective is to hold and survive the whole fight.Comment

Yeah and on the flip side the longer these other guys wait to fight Haney and he gains more and more experience the harder he will be for them to deal with, if they wait until Haney's 25 their in trouble..He might lose to Tank right now maybe even Teo but there is no hype about this kid, he's a special talent.
No idea why Ryan Garcia is even mentioned with these 3 as of right now he's not fought anywhere near the level of the others and there is certainly nothing special about a fighter who can't even tuck their chin in.Comment

As the Hrgoviç fight was just underway, Zhang Zhilei glanced at the ring and told @boxingscene "Bring him on." Hrgoviç's response after his win: "He's too slow, I'd kill him. If he's smart, he won't sign the contract. If he wants it... OK. I have to fight somebody."

hmmmm so he beat Gamboa, some people were saying he was barely engaging much against Gamboa in the fight I best check the highlights when I get a chance but if it's true it probably won't end so well for him against future opponents...Comment

Haney isn't a big puncher & his style isn't for everyone but lets give Gamboa some credit his chin likely isn't as bad as perceived. A lot of his knockdowns have been more his total disregard for defense & he's got up & won a lot of those fights. I mean he did survive 11 with Tank and tbf to him he seemed to be going down more from only having one leg than actually being hurt.
He shouldn't have been expected to do better than Tank in the first place. It was a bit of a no win for him.
He dominated and got 12 good rounds. Sure a knockdown or two would have been nice but still it was practically punch perfect against a highly seasoned vet who knows how too survive.Comment

All of these kids have a good talent, but for the love of god they are not great yet! Their loud mouth and all of these self promotion on the net doesn’t make them great! What was good about tonight? He couldn’t even put a hurt on Gamboa who I remind you is almost 39 years old. Lopez was the same with his loud mouth saying Loma was going to be Ko in 1 rd, and tank fought a guy that was making his debut at 130? Garcia is fighting a damaged gooda fighter who lost to Loma who by the way is 36 years old. Stop making all of these young fighter the supermans they are not.Comment
