Maybe Haney simply doesn't punch as hard as they do. That's ok, not everyone has the one hitter-quitter. I do think that Haney still has a bit more maturing to do, maybe some extra strength would've helped him keep Gamboa from clinching. Teo has faced his test, and Ryan will face his soon.

I'd like to see Haney vs. Verdejo.

Haney sucks all of his power to get to 135. He should really be fighting at 147.

I can't wait until Haney is a big underdog in a fight. I will confidently bet my life saving on him.

There is not one fighter on earth at 135 or 140 who can outbox Haney. Haney is literally Floyd. He is not going to knock anyone out.....BUT he isnt going to get knocked out or out-boxed...Haney wins on points every time. His approach, technique and speed are all flawless.

Agree completely, fat old Gamboa was his first test and he still went the distance. This guy also has every physical advantage at 135, he'll get wrecked when he fights somebody his size or moves up in competition. Nothing special.

But that's the thing, how do you stop a guy who does not want to engage, and continuously holds to survive? When Canelo fought Chavez Jr, everyone was criticizing Canelo for not knocking him out but Chavez was in survival mode the whole fight.

It's not easy to knock a guy out when his objective is to hold and survive the whole fight.

They expect a complete dominant performance every time ending with a devastating knock out lol if not they just all hype . Garcia didn't look too great against Carlos Morales , Teo got "exposed" against Nakatani , Tank against Fonseca etc etc. Relax Haney won every round showed excellent skills and had Gamboa engaged like he normally does and not held so much . Haney would have knocked his ass out .

Yea, you are really ******. Styles make fights. Haney's style is to out-quick you and out-point you. His style is boring for sure, but it will NEVER be beat.
