Styles make fights. Haney was far too long for gamboa to rush in and gamboa doesn’t like to rush in. Gamboa saw everything coming and ate haneys power due to him knowing he couldn’t counter from outside of distance. Haney couldn’t overcome that for Kd’s, but got an easy decision because he was bigger, faster and boxed better.

Comparing him and tanks performance against gamboa (tank is his height and his reach) isn’t really fair.

Why just because he can't punch as hard?

What is more impressive about Ryan Garcia exactly? His flashy combinations on the double end bag in his garage while he stops every other minute to fix his hair? Almost getting KTFO from a jab and getting an MD vs some journeyman?

          Easy.

Ryan has crazy speed, skill and leaves guys face down out cold.

Haney has basic skills and zero power and average speed.

IDK what most of yall where looking at but that was a decent performance from Haney. He's never been a big puncher, just like Floyd was never a big puncher at 147 yet still beat everyone of his opponents but it was more a case of Haney being leery of Gamboa's speed power and quite frankly his size, Gamboa looks like he been walking around somewhere in the 160's that and the fact that he was holding most of the night but it was clear Haney left a lot in the tank so it's not like he was going all out once he realized Gamboa was just trying to survive

He might lose to Tank right now maybe even Teo but there is no hype about this kid, he's a special talent.

No idea why Ryan Garcia is even mentioned with these 3 as of right now he's not fought anywhere near the level of the others and there is certainly nothing special about a fighter who can't even tuck their chin in.

Haney deff has enough power broke a guys face 2 fights ago and knocked Moran the f out . Gamboa held a lot and wasn't engaging as much as usually hard to knock a guy out like that .

Sh^t Fight! I like Haney but yeah the Power is somewhat Concerning Now especially after not being able to even Drop or really even put Gamboa in any Danger

Skills pay the Bills I believe all that but even Mayweather had some Pop to make his opponents think twice and PRIME Mayweather was destroying EVERYTHING Arum was putting on front of him when he was young and rising up the Ranks

Haney is very talented skill wise but Mayweather he is not, not even close! In fact he has a style in which you could see him get ROBBED in big fights vs a Teofimo or Tank who will be the aggressors and will land the bigger punches so he has some things to work out

I think Garcia will struggle if not lose to Campbell next as well, we have to SLOW DOWN with the hype for these young fighters and let them earn it like Teofimo did! Teofimo knocked out a usually durable Commey then beat P4P Lomachenko he is #1 at 135 because he earned it. I don't want to hear how others are "More Talented"

Haney could be marketed as a "good guy" type of personality. I thought he was kind of likable in the post fight interview. I'm not sold on his hype just yet though. He is a pretty good fighter but I don't see anything great about him. Maybe he will improve.

                      Dominant performance.
But that's the thing, how do you stop a guy who does not want to engage, and continuously holds to survive? When Canelo fought Chavez Jr, everyone was criticizing Canelo for not knocking him out but Chavez was in survival mode the whole fight.

It's not easy to knock a guy out when his objective is to hold and survive the whole fight.
